I did self checkin to be able to get in and out quickly, the truck was behind a locked fence, so no self check out. Then there was only one mile allotted for my trip, which wasn’t location fault. The process was not simple and not quick.

My trucks was not available at the scheduled time for pickup so I was told they'd get my $50 credit and that still hasn’t happened

I was waiting for hours. Looked like there was only one person in the office doing anything. I also had an outstanding bill. Was very displeased

I would recommend all Uhaul trailers have jacks installed. The 12×6 trailer I rented did not have a jack and I had to call for help to un-hitch trailer. If a jack had been on trailer I would not have had a problem!!!

When i areived to pick up the truck I wanted to pay cash however this location did not acceot cash. So i had to give and extra $100 deposit to pay cash. I feel this should have been explained at the time of my reservation.

I was only frustrated with the reservation system, resereved for 7 a.m. only to find out the day before (which I tried to deal with while at work ) that I could not get truck until 9, called uhaul number, location was closed, she said she would see what she could do and would return my call, which she never did. So Sunday evening was trying to contact my guys who where to help me, letting them know not to skew up for another 2 hours, so lost moving time as well as hotter part of day. The location needs hours to he updated! Didn't help my stress level of moving

Explain to customers that pickup locations can vary just before customers receive the trucks. My pickup location changed 3 or 4 times. Had I been notified of this beforehand, there would not be the anxiety associated with whether I would get a truck or not.

Truck was not the one I requested. Location was changed without notifying me. Truck had not been swept out prior to my picking it up. This caused me to have to drive farther, costing me more in mileage, and no compensation for the hour lost in all the lack of communication or extra mileage. Charged me too much for extra gas.

Quick, easy, no hassle and friendly. Can't complain about that.

We reserved a 26 foot truck for 3 days, we were contacted and confirmed to have the truck for 3 days by UHaul. When we picked up the truck we were told we could only have it for 1 day since uhaul only rents those type of trucks for 1 day and it was already reserved for the next couple days but they dont notify the customer of that when booking the truck. We had to take a smaller truck and than put some of our stuff in storage for less than 2 days but it cost me an additional $84. I know the party that rents them has their hands tied and she told me that was the second time that week the exact same thing happened at their location so I am sure it happens alot everywhere. I tried to contact the district manager of uhaul to discuss this put he has not returned my 2 messages and i know my wife has left at least 1 message just to discuss the situation. To me that shows that he doesnt care and uhaul does not care that much about the people that our keeping their business alive.

Not sure. They were helpful but hours cost us another days rent.

We ordered on-line with a confirmation # & they did not have what we ordered, nor did any U-Haul dealer in the city. Lost 2 hours trying to find something else at a nearby UHaul location; paid for movers that didn't have room to put stuff in & late getting to our destination. Very upset with my experience. Was told I would receive a call from management & still waiting 4 days later.

I booked our truck for Sunday at 5pm. Sunday at 11am Sterling called me to say they wanted to close early and asked if I could pick up the truck early. I came down at noon and picked it up. We returned the truck on Monday at 2pm, they charged me for 2 days??? I pick the truck up early because they wanted to close. I have been calling all day to ask them about it and no one will answer.

To have employees with a better attitude in customer service and when a truck has been reserved for the scheduled time and date that it be there when picking it up and not have to drive all over town for another truck elsewhere.

This was a "Pass the Buck" experience. I asked the agent to check the electrical connections: running & brake lights, and turn signals. The agent said they were good, however, she didn't seem too certain in her response to me. I was in hurry so I didn't think too much about it at the time. After I picked up the trailer (auto dolly), I drove it about two miles back to my place to pick up the vehicle I was towing, I discovered the brake light/turn signal was not functional. I doubt it failed in the short trip as the road side assistance driver came to my location and diagnosed the problem as a failed connection. Roadside assistance was unable to fix the problem because the light assembly was sealed. So, I then had to go to another Uhaul location, unload the trailer, unhook the defective trailer, hook up the new trailer, and reload my vehicle back onto the other auto dolly. This greatly delayed me on my journey. I think the agent at Sterling Hastings was hoping I wouldn't notice the trailer light defect, and that I would just go on my merry way oblivious that brake/turn signal light was defective so that she would not have to deal with taking the necessary steps to have it repaired-basically "passing the buck"! Had I not double checked the trailer lights this could have been potentially dangerous, as anyone traveling behind me might have misinterpreted my turning or braking intention, thus causing and accident.

the truck was not clean but it had just been dropped off and they didn't have a chance to clean it so I understand. What was disappointing was that the internet quoted a mileage rate of .79 /mile and that is what the representative over the phone quoted as well. I needed a 17' truck but only a 20' was available and at a new location. When I picked up the truck the mileage changed to .99/mile and the representative had no way to change it. she was great by the way, just not able to adjust the price to what I was quoted on line and via a phone conversation. I would appreciate an adjustment and a refund for the .20/mile.
