I had rented blankets and on the day of the rental was told there weren't any in stock. I also rented a handtruck and dolly which I witnessed an employee put in the truck. Another employee then moved the truck to another area and removed the handtruck and dolly which I did not realize until I was home. I was assured by phone that the charges would be removed but they never were.

It was not clean. It was very much wet and dirty When I told them they cleaned it but it was wet only even though they told me to use some think blankets My bed and other items becomes wet. The gas level also they put high almost 5 halons more That also I told before taking. I had to argue for all.

The gas meter malfunctioned. I didn't drive enough to have used up more than $10 worth a gas, however, after putting $20 in to reach 3/4 tank (where I received it), the needle finally moved, thus giving U-Haul a full tank. Smh

It was a fraud of putting extra mileage and claiming damage of the van, although this damage on drivers door was there when I picked the car. I have photo of it taken at pickup location and it is noted on my receipt at pickup location. At drop off location they added extra miles on my receipt at my absence. I demand investigate this van. If these miles are there it means somebody else drive this van under my name after I left drop off location. I am going to initiate investigation on this if problem is not resolved today.

My truck was very old, and the side mirrors would move every time there was a bump in the road - which happens often in New Jersey. I could adjust the drivers side mirror at red lights, but on the passenger side I just had to adapt when it moved. It was not a safe driving experience.

I read bad reviews for this location, so I came mentally prepared for curveballs. But it turned out to be a pretty good experience. The van and UBox were ready and in good condition; the staff members were helpful. Thanks for making it a mostly smooth move! The biggest hurdle was UHaul notifying me 13 hours prior that I could not get the van and UBox at the same location, as I had requested; rather the items would be at 2 different locations, which meant more driving time and paying for more miles.

There is a continued lack of customer service at this site. The blankets I had ordered were not in stock. Why was I given the option to reserve blankets if these were not in stock? In addition to your bad stock management, your employees gave me a bad customer service experience by not offering a substitute, such as a furniture pad which was in stock. That would have been the right thing to do if you care about your customers' experiences. Instead, my complaints were met with indifference from your employees. This behavior from the employees at this site also showed when I returned the van and entered the building for a question, only to find two of them sitting behind the register looking at their phones. Only after I called their attention for the second time, did one of them take just enough time to look up from her phone to tell me that she was not the person I should talk to, before returning her attention back to her phone. I see this continued behavior of bad customer service and overall indifference at U-Haul as a failure from management to create a work place that values their customers. Clearly a satisfied customer is not one of U-Haul's priorities, By the way, I put this complaint in an email to you several days ago and never received a reply.

Maybe next time you should actually have the truck the customer orders at your "main location" available. I was told that my truck wasn't there and I was told to then drive to Bensonhurst, NY to pick up a 20' truck. My original pickup location in Jersey City was cancelled and moved without me being notified and then the "main location" tells me I'm sh*t out of luck. Didn't even give me my Mattress Bag I ordered either. When I asked about it the woman told me that I need to show her my receipt for it. She couldn't look up my order in your system?! Totally bogus operation and can't even guarantee your truck is going to be there. I had hired loaders for 2 hours and didnt have a truck for the first hour of them being at my apartment because of this fiasco. Totally ruined my whole day and made us late to our settlement closing on our new house.
