The truck smelled of smoke, made a whistling noise when in drive, and the a/c did not work. The blankets I purchased were flighty - they smelled of smoke and were covered in dirt and debris.Emily L.

Absolutely worst Uhaul experience in my life and I have used it many times over my 51 years, aa I am retired military. It would not let us pick up truck after hours using mobile app, stated unable to verify account. We weren't able to actually get it until over 12 hours later, after talking to 10 uhaul customer service reps and waiting over an hour and a half after the published hours of the rental location before the person showed up for work. This cost us a lot of money that we already paid for our moving crew and delay in clearing our rental property. I completed a customer service objective concernin why we weren't able to use the mobile app at pick up, which they said it detected a potential fraud, but wouldn't specify, with a uhaul rep and was told I would receive a response within 48-72 hours, yet that time has passed. Any time throughout the rental period, when I would call customer service, I would be put on indefinite hold, and transferred without warning, to another person, only to have to start over about why I was calling. I am still unable to associate the order on the mobile app and customer service rep doesn't understand what I mean. They could be a little more friendly. They weren't interested really. I walked in the door, no one said hello. I stood at the one counter and the gentleman was doing something didn't look up. I said excuse me I am here to return the truck, he said go over to ..... I went to the window , there was a sweet cat there and the lady behind said do you need something . I said I'm here to return my uhaul. She said just hand me the keys and if yoou have an email on file we will send you the invoice when someone checks it over. And that was it. Now, when she called me 10 minutes later, she was very pleasant with the information. So it might have been a bad minute. I would still recommend them.Ruby S.
We rented a truck for two days. The charges do not match the contract in the slightest. We refilled the truck to the correct level before returning it, they charged us anyways. They said the truck was dirty. We have two charges on our account. One for 178(correct) and one for 253. When I called to talk to them about it they started claiming it was all our fault. The truck was perfect, they just got lucky we dropped off after hours so they could boost the charges however they wanted. It cost me the same amount to rent a truck from NC to FL. This is absolutely ridiculous. At this rate I will NEVER use uhaul again and will recommend the same for everyone I know.vincent T.
Not sure what is going on with this deal with the online booking I understood that I paid for 2 days. I could have easily choosen penzke and picked my truck up 1 mike from where I loaded( since there where no uhauls availible at uhaul delears there) . In stead i choose to pay the extra milage because of the extra day being included. Geuss I was wrong because the extra day was not included. It was about $80 more than penzki. NOT TO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!!!Ricky S.

The clerk didn't tell me what to do with the key, the pamphlet said do an online return but i did all the paperwork inside, this was a Saturday morning and they were closing at 1pm. She told me to return monday for my deposit. She called me monday morning before I got there and told me I didn't leave the key so I would be charged for having the truck until the key was returned. Upon trying to explain to her that she hadn't told me what to do with it she said "there's a drop box next to the door" (which I looked for and didn't see, until the next time I came back and she showed me a tiny hole you can use to throw it on the floor inside). She then told me if I didn't see the box I should've left it in the truck and I calmly explained that leaving the key in the truck didn't seem like the smartest move, hopefully to anyone's standards. Anyway I tried to explain that I didn't know that and the only thing she would say back to me was "I cant change it". Very very rude. I will never deal with these people again even if they were the last on earth. Horrible customer service. Took my whole $100 deposit for 5 hours and 15 miles used on a 15' truck. I am very disappointed and I wish things hadn't happened this way.Bryan M.

Wrong location first off. We returned the vehicle to SW Saint Margarets Street. They were closed on Sundays which was my drop off date. We returned our first Uhaul on Saturday and woman on front desk was very rude and barely acknowledged we were there. Tried to ask her a few questions and she was very short with us. Above all this was one of the most disappointing experiences moving. Moving us already a hassle and stressful. Don't need rude or uncaring employees making it worse.Blake H.
