Worst experience ever!!!! I will NEVER rent anything from Uhaul ever again. Took my daughter's stuff down to Auburn Alabama this weekend. Horrible experience! Tried to drop trailer off in Alabama, was told I would have to pay$1000 dollars! Ended up bringing trailer back with us(800 miles). After dealing with morons in Alabama, wasn't able to leave until3pm. Had to drive straight through, got home at 530, had to be to work by 7. Once again..... worst rental experience ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??

The guy working had everything mixed up. He used my paperwork for my reservation for someone else's rental. When he went to redo the paperwork he didn't get my information correct, stated that I was renting for a round trip, when I was going one way, 3 hours away. He then wanted to charge me more than the originally agreed price. I've been to various locations and have always had great service. But this location was by far the worst I've been to.

The owner of the little store where I rented the trailer is a really nice guy and treated us really well. It was a pleasure to do business with him and I will refer anyone and everyone to him.

The sales people were very nice. However, it took almost an hour to get the POS to go thru. During the exchange, the gentleman kept apologizing for taking so long, and I was doing okay until it was 1/2 hour in and it still wasn't going thru. We had most of our boxes packed but were waiting to see how much room we had before packing everything. Towards the end of the exchange when I was getting frustrated and explained that I needed it to hurry up as I still had packing to do, the guy behind the counter had the gull to tell me that I should have packed up everything prior to picking up the truck. Needless to say, that did not sit well with me since I was the only customer in the store attempting to purchase anything. I didn't say much to him except that I had packed up almost everything except the necessities. Returning the equipment was fine. During the process, we had discovered that the lighting harness had undone, dropped and been dragged on the ground and shredded.(U-Haul had installed my trailer hitch and wiring at another location the day before.) My husband attached the trailer and everything to my bug at the location and the guy offered to go help. But, I said we were good, on hind sight, I was a stranger and the technician should have checked it anyway. I explained that my husband had connected his the same way on his truck and had no issues. We called road side assistance after driving to a local U-HAUL, which was closed, and were told that since my husband connected the trailer, that we had to replace it. My husband had no tools with him, so $50 in tools, plus the new electrical harness and the connection for my car and installing everything, it was 3 hours later. During this process, my husband discovered that the wiring on my car, that was installed by a U-HAUL technician wasn't fastened securely and was wrapped around the exhaust pipe, which is a big no-no. Needless to say that we had to stay at a hotel last night as we couldn't make it back to our home, as we had previously hoped and have therefore lost an entire day that we needed to continue to pack and clean our apartment. If I hadn't had had other experiences with U-HAUL that were positive, I would safely say that I would NEVER refer anyone. However, as I believe this experience to be an exception to the normal experience, I can say that I would refer others but strongly caution to make sure that the technicians check it before leaving the lot. Also, I bought the insurance, shouldn't that have covered something in that situation? Isn't that the point of insurance??
