Very friendly staff in the center and over the phone--and our reservation got handed over to 3 different u haul dealers before we got to this one who more than made up for the problems along the way!

When you reserve a trailer 1 1/2 weeks before pick up you don't have a call the day before telling you to pick it up 40 miles away. It was handled but it took leg work on the customer to complete when the young millennial should know how to work customer service.

It was clean, but leaked water due to the rain.

The tow/haul switch did not work . After multiple calls and a long time on hold your roadside assistance people told me to drive it anyway despite the rain I knew I would be driving through and the extra gas that I would be using. Why is it impossible to call the location where you rented the equipment?

I reserved the 26' moving truck. Once picking up the truck, I was informed that the ac in the truck is broken. And with it being 100 degrees out in Texas I was being compensated for it. What wasn't disclosed is that the truck hardly starts. Power steering cuts in and out while driving, and the transmission puts out enough heat that makes you think it's going to catch fire. It's definitely time to retire that particular truck. I have used uhaul many times in the past. And will continue to do so. I will just request a newer and more reliable truck.

The location itself was GREAT!! However, the customer service call center is disappointing. We called to reserve a one way trailer to move our daughters back to their college dorms. We were told they had what we needed and we were good to go. Less than 13 hours before we were to pick up the trailer we got a call to let us know that they didn't have a trailer for us. We could pick one up over an hour away, or we could change into a truck which was way more expensive and only seats 3. Super frustrating. The only other option was to take a trailer on a round trip versus a one way. We opted for that option. They did accommodate us by agreeing to only charg us for 1 day instead of the 2 days that we had it (36 hours) after I asked. However, I was billed for both days and had to call back in to get that remedied. Super frustrating....as if a move isn't stressful enough....on is as well as our daughters. I would have rather worked solely with the store. Seeing that the store staff was great we will give them another shot, but again would only speak to the store staff.

Searched and could not find seatbelt on passenger side. We had to ride across the country with no seatbelt. Rental drop off location ended up finding the seatbelt tucked under the seat. They were able to pull it up through and out of the seatbelt slot.

Make sure tire pressure is correct (tires have no leaks or damage) when renting a truck. Provide a truck that does not have tobacco spit all over the door. Dirty inside. Sorry truck experience.

I received the wrong vehicle and had to wait 30 minutes for it. I begged someone to help me find the vehicle. Before receiving the vehicle, when my paperwork was being done, the clerk quoted me a price. Upon returning the vehicle with more gasoline than I was required to have, I was informed that the clerk was wrong and I would be charged more. The service representative thought this was unfair also and recommended that I speak with the manager about my experience. I went inside and told him my experience. Another service representative was there and affirmed my experience as he had witnessed it earlier. The manager never apologized but rather began to justify why I was mistreated and overly charged. I will never go to this location again and posted this account on their Facebook page for others to be warned of this horrible customer service and complete lack of professionalism.

Make sure that employees are properly trained on tow dollies so that what happened to my car does not happen to others.

Staffing. Friday evening, and only one person was working the counter. I stool in line for 15-20 minutes before getting to the counter. Then the "speedy" check in was not so speedy. What is the point of checking in online if the information has to be duplicated in person? Why do they ask questions that are not asked online? It would be more beneficial to have all questions asked online.

Work with the city or county to get a turn in added off 380. Doing a u-turn on 380 is awful!

I did not originally get the equipment from the McKinney store. I was sent to Anna, TX and it was a clustefarce of epic proportions. I had to travel 40 miles out of my way to get a smelly vehicle and all of the computers were down. Paul at the McKinney location was phenomenal. He tried hard to rectify the situation. However, due to the fact that I had made a reservation 21 days in advance and U-Haul amended it 11 hour before, I will never rent from U-Haul again.
