When I entered the location to pick up the trailer that had been reserved the day before, the lady behind the counter had never processed a reserved UHaul before. That wasn't a problem, I expected her to be slower getting it set up. The problem was with the guy who came over to help her. He made it seem as if I was an inconvenience and that he really did not want me to rent the trailer. I'm assuming he was either having a bad morning or judging me on my appearance (long hair/unshaven). He asked me my address as well as the address that I was moving to as well as what exactly I would be using the trailer to haul. I explained that I wasn't moving to another address but just taking some stuff to be shipped out. He asked again what I was moving and where to. While I wasn't shipping anything private, this is none of his or your companies concern. I am responsible for what is in that trailer and getting the trailer returned to you in good condition. Once he gave up on his interrogation he took a look at the car and said, "You cant rent a U-Haul trailer without electrical hookups." I explained, "The electrical is in the trunk so that it wont get damaged and went to pop the trunk." He quickly said, "Well, you need a ball hitch, not just a tow hitch mounted on the car." So I replied, "The ball hitch is in the trunk so that it wont get stolen" and popped the trunk. He sighed and said, "Okay then you have to pay a deposit." This was after the paperwork inside had been completed. I went back inside and paid a deposit (which was double the rental cost) in cash after they had already taken my credit card info. At this point he told me that I needed to sign the trailer inspection form to show that I agreed it was rented out in good condition without damages. I explained that I had not seen the trailer yet. I was told, "Just sign it and he will show you the trailer before you hook it up." I decided to add the insurance (which I asked about) just in case they tried to screw me over and give me a broken trailer. I went out and backed my car up to the trailer. He attached it but left the chains and wires hanging down really low (in the past the uhaul people have adjusted the chains so that they would not drag... I did so with the wires but left the chains as he had attached them.) He never walked around the trailer with me. Just hooked it up and walked away. I opened the trailer to find it unswept with broken plastic Easter eggs and dirt. I cleaned it out myself once I got to my house. Returning the trailer went fine though. It was a different crew and the young man who helped me was quick and friendly. He asked to drive my car so that he could back the trailer in. I explained that it could easily be moved the six feet by hand since the trailers are balanced. I lifted the trailer and showed him. He helped me move it into place (which wasn't necessary since they are easy to move). The inexperience is understandable but the rudeness of the employee (Randy) was not.

Reservation was made one month prior. No trailer on the day I needed it. I had to travel 40 miles round trip to Pick up at different location. Trailer was filthy, lights did not work and broken safety chain. All repaired by me just to use trailer.

Earlier in the day I made arrangements to pick up the truck at 6:30 PM. They would close at 7. We arrived at 6:30 and the lights were turned off, and the door was locked. When we knocked briskly on the door a worker came to the door. We explained who we were. They said to come back at 8 the next morning. We explained that we had hired help coming at 7 in the morning. We insisted they provide us with the truck as had been arranged. He locked the door and went to talk to his boss. He let us in and rented the truck. The information for our rental was in a packet on the wall. They were aware we were scheduled to rent the truck at 6:30 that night.

I felt like I was a distraction at the dropoff location. They were all so busy.

Be sure pick up and return are the same. All personnel were very nice

The trailer was not properly attached to the car and came crashing into my tow hitch as i was leaving.

Rent the equipment on time instead of and hour later than reserved.

This location was acceptable my biggest complaint is with uhaul as a company. The reason you make a reservation is so you know when and where to pick up and drop off at a location close and convenient to your residence. A day prior to pick up, I was contacted and told to pick up the truck at another location 2 towns over and to pick up the trailer at another location 15 minutes away from the truck location. I will never use uhaul again for this reason.

I made online reservation for an auto transport and confirmation stated it was an "in town rental" but online process never asked if I'd like "one-way" trip. I called the office and uhaul rep was incompetent and could not change to "one way" reservation. I asked rep if anything changed in the reservation and if the rate was the same. Rep assured me it was the same reservation and fee. I drove fro Los Angeles to Modesto 310 miles once there yes they were able to change it to one way but the fees were far different and rep with an attitude was not helpfull at all. Uhaul headquarters custumer service rep also had an attitude and could not honor the original quote. Will be doing business with Penske or any other form of rental companies. Thanks for the good times Uhaul but will be going elsewhere where customer is known to keep their business running. Even if their rates are higher will be glad to do business with better service. Your ex customer Abel.

The linkage on the straps needed to be lubricated. It was nearly impossible to get them to work without a lot of effort

Mostly fine; staff ignored me on arrival so not really inviting.

Well, they seemed nice but even though their location said on the sign out front that they were open sundays, they told us that they wouldn't be and charged us an extra day. The tow dolly kept coming detatching itself on the freeway and the strap was not long enough to safely tow the vehicle needing to be towed. My parents were told that the equipment was unsafe and had to find another UHAUL location to switch the equipment.

This rating is for UHaul not Mike's Tow Service. Can't rate what I didn't get to experience. Didn't get to experience Mike's quality of service because UHaul called us this morning, 24 hours before we were to pick up the equipment, to advise that our reservation is not really a reservation but a "request" and that the confirmation we received was not really a confirmation of a reservation even though that is what it is labeled but rather a confirmation of a request and therefore no guarantee applies until the "not a confirmation of not a reservation" becomes an actual confirmation of an actual reservation 24 hours before we are set to pick up the equipment! On top of that, the $50 that UHaul so graciously offers to help soften the blow of failing to uphold their guarantee only applies to when you ARRIVE at a pick up and the equipment is not there. UHaul effectively circumvented having to adhere to all of their guarantees and paying the $50 bucks by making the reservation not a reservation but a request and the confirmation not a confirmation and making the call that they cannot do anything that they guaranteed to do before I get to the pick up. So here we are no truck, no auto transport 24 hours before we are to load up and move out. Thank you for teaching me all of these new definitions of reservation and confirmation. I appreciate the education. I have learned to never use UHaul again.

get your cc thing fixed i had to pay 700 in cash because they couldnt get it to work.. that wAS beyond ridicules. then i asked to drop off at a certain location and they said no problem, well it was a big problem.. the girl there was rude as hell and threatened to chg me 100.00 for dropping off at her location.. i wanted to say good luck with that since you dont have my credit card.. but instead i called this other place on airport dr and she was wonderful. but never again will i use uhaul after this.. we have used you many times and this was beyond terrible..

The truck I reserved 2 weeks prior to move was not available less than 12 hours prior to move. The attitude was sorry this is all we have is a smaller truck. We could not fit everything in the truck they gave us and we had to pay for additional help for 4 additional hours!! This is unexceptionable to let someone know at 2pm on Friday prior to a Sat 8 am pickup that you don't have the size truck they reserved 2 weeks prior!!

Very fast service. As I was leaving gentleman ran out with my sunglasses that I has inadvertently left in the truck.
