My initial pick up location did not have my truck available. So, I had to drive to this location after hours. My reservation was not set up for truck share. I called the after hours line and Devon answered, checked immediately in via telephone, and was extremely helpful. The truck I paid to rent was only 60 some dollars. I or person at the uhaul place couldn't get it started. I was told I would get a different size truck for the same price. I returned on time but I didn't leave til 30 min after because he had to chahe out the truck. That wasn't on me. Then i for got to replace the gas and was charged over 60 more.WYNOKKIATANISHA A.

I dropped off the trailer on Saturday at the correct location and spoke to the u-haul rep at this location as it was during normal hours (not after hours). Advised to drop off in an area and that was all. I took photos to verify. On Monday (today) i get a $20 charge. Please explainPaul H.

This guy was extremely unprofessional. He wasn't there when it was time for my pick up because he said he didn't see my reservation online when I had made it 2 days prior. He finally showed up and did not apologize once for not seeing my reservation. And then he parked his car in the driveway so he told us to back up and go around. And then when I came to stop it off he was also not there and there was another man trying to drop his truck off and he could not get in contact with him so I had to help the man check his equipment back in. Devon was extremely helpful and exceeded customer service expectations. I got lost trying to locate the address and was unable to turn the truck with a car transport around. Devon DROVE TO ME and assisted with safely removing my vehicle as well as maneuvering the uhaul equipment in a very small area. I didn't know the area but I'm so thankful that I selected this location and received the warmest welcome on a rainy stressful day. all heros don't wear capes!shakimya P.
Associate was not on location at scheduled time of pick up. When called, associate became derisive, combative and argumentative when questioned as to why he was not on site (he went to lunch even though he called to confirm we were coming at time of pick up). We rented a trailer for a car; had two people tell us it was not attached to uhaul correctly and could have detached. One was a uhaul employee who noticed it while driving next to us. He took pictures. We also did not receive the equipment ordered. Was given a hand cart as substitution but did not receive furniture pads. The vehicle itself lurched and seemed to struggle during initial use. After an extended drive, this seemed to go away.Sonya D.
Reservation was at 9 and it was closed when I got there and the manager didn't show up until 9:30 while i waited outside. Caused me to depart late for my trip. Did not have padded blankets that I reserved and was rude when I asked about it. The place was very dirty and uninviting. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely the worst experience thus far with a uhaul rep. Was never given a contract; told I was â€œgoodâ€ and didn't need one. The contract that I did receive via email was simply an equipment contract. Was charged for extra miles and missing equipment when all equipment was returned in complete and working order. Rep didn't check the truck in and I was called on 10/31/2020 at 1226pm asking where uhaul was. I dropped off the uhaul at 726pm on 10/30/2020. Was forwarded a close out charge contract? On 11/2 stating I'm being billed for another $236.00. Looked further into contract and saw that the vehicle was checked in this morning after 8am. After this experience I would not recommend a uhaul from that particular location. I have never had an issue using uhaul until NOW! Utterly disappointed with my experience.TALYAO'DELL C.
Vehicle was not swept out, windshield was filthy on the inside, rag left in hand grip bar to get into the back of the truck. Parking was haphazard in the lot making it difficult to drive the truck off the lot. I was not asked about my driver license. Clerk was courteous but I couldn't call him ethusiatic.Dan Jr V.
Changed our pickup location had to wait 20 miinutes only to find that we had to pick up a dolly at the location we were originally scheduled.The dolly we were given was unusable! ! Very frustrating ugh!WILLIAMF W.
The gentleman managing the location was excellent. Communication was good and timely and the equipment was in good shape. Though the location was on the smaller side, they had everything we needed and took proper precautions for COVID-19. Thank you!Fritz K.
my contract required that I return my rental by 11 am on a Monday morning. The place where I rented it posted hours of 9am to 5pm Mo-Sat. I returned it to them Monday morning at 9:55 and was charged a $20 after hours return fee. Never again...Michael B.
Mobile pick up could not work because staff had keys in facility and did not have the furniture pads in the truck ready to go. Staff did call in advance and arranged to meet me at my preferred pick-up time. At least 5 pads were Very wet and unusable when I went to wrap items. Back driver's tires on vehicle seemed low - prompting a stop at the 14861 Warwick Blvd UHaul facility in Newport News. Crystal was very helpful in advising us to contact roadside assist, and arranging for us to have an extra day added to our rental contract. Vehicle was ultimately fine and we had no further concerns.Beth T.
