Make sure all requested equipment is clean. Interior of our truck cab floor was dirty. The truck had many dings and scrapes They were marked but need to be maintained We did not receive the furniture pads we requested Electronic check in procedure is not well written. The first step is to deposit the keys in the drop box. After completion of that step you are asked on a new screen to take a picture of the mileage and gas gauge. The gas gauge does not show information if you don't have the key!

I would say my overall experience with SOS storage where in my U-Haul was excellent! This is the second time I've rented a U-Haul through SOS and each time it's taken less than 10 minutes to rent a vehicle. The staff is very friendly and all the equipment is in excellent shape.

This was the worst U-Haul experience I've ever had and I have used their trucks with ease many times in the past. I made a reservation weeks in advance for my desired pickup location, date and time, and truck size, only to have U-Haul call not once, but TWICE to change my reservation pickup location, time, and truck size, the second time being the day before my reservation simply because they “didn't have the truck I reserved” even though it said it was available online. They changed my pickup location to a location that was nearly twenty minutes away from my desired pickup location. When I showed up to pick up my truck, the app was not working properly and repeatedly said it was having issues processing my payment. I tried three different credit cards, and each time I got the same error message, even though I got an alert from my credit card company that very moment that my card was charged for the amount for the reservation and U-Haul emailed me the contract for the truck. I could not get through to the next step of pickup which was to identify where and how to access the key for my reserved truck. I waited 18 minutes on hold with U-Haul only to speak with someone who was having to speak with someone else in order to even help me. (What's the point of calling?) After twenty minutes on the phone with a customer service rep, she told me where and how to access the key for my truck. I used the code given by her for the lockbox she indicated and accessed a key. She apologized for the hassle and wait time, explaining that they had “1,000 people in queue and their system was down.” The key she allowed me to access WAS FOR A DIFFERENT TRUCK (that was 10ft, my reservation was for a 26ft truck) Infuriated, and having wasted over an hour of my day while my moving help waited along side for me to get the truck, I began waiting on hold again with U-Haul to try to get the correct key for my truck while also attempting to contact the employee (owner?) of the storage facility housing the U-Haul I was attempting to pick up. After several failed attempts at calling the storage facility (mind you this was during their normal business hours and they were in fact open!!), I began knocking on the door and windows of the business to try to get someone's attention to see if they could assist so I did not have to wait on hold with U-Haul for another 20 mins only to get to speak with someone who likely couldn't help anyway. Finally we got the attention of the storage facility employee and explained the situation to her. She had the nerve to get snippy with me as if this was MY fault, stating that the instructions to gain access to the key was “in the notes for the reservation.” UM, HELLO. I know how this works. The app would NOT allow me to get to that portion of the reservation process even after it had processed my payment and U-Haul had emailed me the contract for the truck. More excuses; She told me the reason she was not at the

The entrances to the inside storage units should have a ramp or something that enbles hand trucks and dollys to manuever in and out more easily. Also the internal units having their numbers on the outside would be cool!!

Nothing really, I couldn't get internet service to check in or out. I had a friend to help with his phone to get the code to get the keys. So 20 dollars for not checking in on my phone was a pain .

The truck had over 140K miles on it. The passenger side door was duct taped together. The headlights barely worked and were not safe. The mileage charge of $.99 is insane when I have to drive 30mins out of my way just to pick up a truck because no where else has any in stock. It was also rented to me with 1 mile less than what was actually on it - so I paid a dollar for someone else's mile. Just seems cheap. However, it got the move done. Just a really crappy truck and shady process.

I made reservation for 550 S. Rangeline Rd. Carmel branch ( Confirmation # 29113937), but this location didn't had my truck. I was sent to Cumberland Rd Noblesville. As result I had to put more miles on the truck and was charged more than expected. So, I was charged for U-Haul mistake

The inside of the 10 ft truck was a bit gross. The windshield on the passenger side had muddy footprints from one of the previous renters and the steering wheel was peeling and sticky. It ran well and that was really all I needed, so I just moved past the dirt and got the job done. The gal at the counter was very helpful since the phone app was in a perpetual loop of "your rental is being approved" which was weird since I reserved it a week prior to pick up.

I did what I thought was 24/7 pickup where I could use my phone to pickup the truck. I got a confirmation email saying I could pickup the vehicle anytime. I had originally schedule it to be picked up at 10:00am, but I had done all I could do without the truck that morning by 8:00, so I went to get the truck earlier. When I got to the pick up location at 8:30am to get the truck, nothing was there for me to get a key. Fortunaely, the location opened at 9:00 instead of 10:00 as stated on the website. When the lady got there, she was very rude and seemed bothered I was standing outside the door when she opened. She said the vehicle was not setup as a anytime pickup and I would have to come back at 10:00am. No apology, no compassion, nothing. I tried to check to see if the same vehicle was available at another location. If it had been, I would have switched locations just because of how rude she was! When I came back to get the truck, she was more friendly. But I ended up wasting an hour and a half of my morning because the vehicle wasn't available.
