Disorganized. Not customer friendly. Be patient and do not expect much when dealing with this location. The truck was fine and cleaned outside but there certainly was something wrong with the transmission on the vehicle we received.

Pure nightmare to get my rented uhaul truck off the lot and moving. Took two hours to get the keys. Two hours on a move day just to get the truck. Two hours on an already stressful day. Stinson gas in orleans ottawa got me on the phone with a supposed uhaul rep who either did not know wtf he was doing or was not a rep at all but rather a scammer (the phone dialed was a local no and not a 1-800 uhaul no), who proceeded to ask for my cc no claiming the rental has not been paid for (which it was prepaid - i had proof of charge going through on my TD banking app) then after 30 minues of arguing he said he had to call me back. When he called back on the gas station's operator's land line phone, he claimed that the charge applied wasn't accurate and there was an additional charge of $45 which included taxes that were not applied originally and he demanded my cc no. again. Through all this I demanded to speak to a supervisor and he told me non were working because it was a civic holiday. I told him to hold on while i called uhaul directly and did manage to get a supervisor on the phone, who resolved the situation immadiately - agreed that the rental was already paid for and offered compensation for the situation. So there you have it. Do not use stinson gas for pick up location.

I made a reservation online in hope that I will waste no time when picking up the vehicle. Boy, was I wrong. When I arrived, the gentleman at the location (W.O. Stinson gas station in Orleans) did not pay a lot of attention to me despite having no customers, he was on the phone for at least 5 minutes with someone (and selling cigarettes to people that came to the gas station), probably a friend, I could not understand since conversation was carried in Arabic. He did not offer explanation as to what is wrong. When I asked he told me that the "U-Haul guy" is not in until 1000 and that he has to call another location. He then called another U-Haul location and handed me the phone. I spoke to another gentleman, he did not understand nor spoke English very well, he told me that he needs to enter my order again, when I asked why he said "system very complicated". It took more than 15 minutes to do the order over the phone, every time I asked what is the problem, I was told "just a second, system very complicated". When I returned the vehicle I refilled the tank to the exact level (or even a bit more) where it was when vehicle was picked up. I drove almost empty vehicle in mixed highway/city traffic (80% highway, 20% city) for 45km and I filled 10 liters of gas. Attendant that was accepting the vehicle told me that gas needs to be topped up. When I asked him to check the fuel level gauge again, with me, he said that it is OK. I have used U-Haul in the past, but this was by far the worst experience.

I couldn't be more upset and irritated with this location. A trailer was rented for a move from Orleans Ontario to Toronto. This was for a studio apartment. The representative named GEORGE JEHA failed to do his job. First off, he said he was giving us a discount to drop off the trailer in Toronto. Turns out that was a lie.Once attaching the trailer to the car, the lights were not working. We were instructed to the go to the Coventry location to have it examined and fixed there. Once we got to such location after waiting over two and a half hours we were informed the Innes location could of simply detected the issue themselves. Not only was time wasted but money as well. We were then forced to get a cargo van increasing our cost to over 500$ for a simple move rather than 65$+ including gas! Completely unacceptable. Lied to, wasted time, wasted money! Never again!

The people at Stinson Fuel were very helpful, friendly and we had very good service. I would recommend this location hands down.

Absolutely horrible experience from start to finish. Will never use UHAUL again. Period.

The operator is a gastation attendant that had no interest in dealing with uhaul rentas

The rep was confused, uninformed, disorganized and rude. Wouldn`t give me a receipt for the return of the truck and equipment. He was also on the phone for a good 10min before assisting me. This location was small but with many trucks, it was chaotic, difficult to park truck. I will never return to that location.

3 staff members could not help! No greeting, no acknowledgement of my presence. Horrible experience! First guy was counting cigarettes and could not be bothered. Waited in line and had to endure other people be served that came after me. Second guy came in and was told by the first guy I needed a truck. This guy also continued taking care of more people that came after me until I finally said something and was told to hold on. Third guy was the gas pump attendant and started looking at the computer but had no clue. I guess this wasn't his job. Waited some more and finally called the U-Haul at 3698 Innes Road (Dino's Auto). Made a reservation on the spot and told those three guys to cancel my reservation. They told me to wait.

Disorganized and off site booking required. Took too long to get vehicle organized and ready to go.

Great service, super helpful and quick. A comment for U-Haul, you should have LOWER KM charge... so expensive for nothing.

Truck smelt like they covered up smoke smell.

Truck not at location of confirmed reservation. When they called the person with the truck, I was told that it would be back in 2 hours. Not convenient when people are lined up to help. Ended up settling with a cargo van. Uhaul customer service was able to provide rebate.

I rented a cargo trailer, every single light didn't work except for right signal. (left signal and brake lights didn't work) my cabling is brand new. I've towed other trailers this past year and the lights worked fine. Other than that, very nice people, service was good but the trailer I rented wasn't road worthy.

No help in hooking up large trailer. No display of uhaul moving accessories like pads. I doubt they had inspected it when received.

I rented a trailer and when I picked it up there was no wiring cords for the lights on it. It was too late in the day to go to another location and I was basically told I could buy my own extension at Canadian Tire or I could not bother renting. Having spares of the cords at the dealership is essential. This was the last trailer and apparently, they had just been borrowing from trailer to trailer to meet needs.

the van was dirty and smelled horrible!

No problem at all. I've had excellent service from Uhaul, thank you.

The staff were rude, did not speak anything closely resembling English, and were very unhelpful. I was treated as a massive inconvenience and PITA to them rather than a customer and everything was too much of an effort. They would not accept or even look at my Uhaul gift voucher [which I received from Uhaul for being messed around last time....should have learnt my lesson!!!] and lied to me saying that it would be Uhaul charging my credit card when in fact it was their location all along [I was never asked for my PIN either, they simply swiped the card through some kind of reader I couldn't see]. I was sent to this location by Uhaul, even though it was NOWHERE near the location I had chosen when I made my reservation [WELL in advance I might add] and the whole experience on the morning of a big move was precisely the kind of thing one can do without! They also couldn't understand, and refused to accept, that I had made my reservation for a one-way trip and that I was not going to be returning the truck to their location. They tried to fob me off with a much smaller truck because they apparently had a customer the next day who had booked their one and only 26' truck and for some reason, that customer was apparently more important than me [even though I had been sent half way across town to their location not by my own choosing...something they also couldn't or wouldn't understand!!!] This location is a pokey little gas station 'shack' with trucks dotted around the gas pumps [oh, and when a gas customer comes in, don't think that they will continue to serve you...the gas customer comes first!!!] Lastly, it appeared the truck had been in a major accident or something because the front and rear wheels were totally out of alignment, and the brakes were awful!!!! Bottom line: DO NOT GO HERE for your Uhaul rental!!!!!

System was down and I could not pay with visa and complete the booking properly, took 20 min to book a truck

Passenger van smelled like horses and was not clean inside. Slow service and had the audacity to say I didn't put gas before returning. Well tank was under half and brought it back at half.

1. Van was not available on time. 2. I rented the van to take some stuff to Kingston and to bring some stuff back to Ottawa. When I arrived in Kingston i found out I no longer needed to bring anything back to Ottawa. I phoned Stinson and asked if I could leave the van in Kingston. The fellow said no. When I returned the van in Ottawa and told the fellow at the counter I ended up driving it back empty to Ottawa he told me I could have just left it in Kingston. They need to be more consistent in the information that give their customer. 3. When I got my email receipt I noticed I was overcharged for the van. When I went to get it sorted out it took me awhile to understand how the fellow at the counter came up with the amount I was getting refunded. The fellow had to go through the numbers with me a couple of times. He got frustrated and behaved rudely. There was no reason for his behaviour. I was calm and polite and just wanted to make sure i understood where he was getting the numbers from. Next time I'm going to try Ryder.
