Stop ripping people off with over charge for gas. My $34 truck rental doubled and i only drove less than 2 miles usage.

When I picked up the trailer, I asked about returning it late that night, after the store had closed. I've done this previously at the Uhaul on US380 near Custer Road in McKinney. The clerk told me that I would receive an email to perform checkin after hours. That was fine. Unfortunately I received no email the entire day. When we came in at 11:30pm, the return area was completely swamped with returns, to the point that some vehicles stuck out into the main entrance and we had to carefully maneuver around them. We ended up leaving the trailer in front of the main door/storage dock area. I took pictures of all sides of the trailer to show it was in the same condition as when we picked it up, and showing the store front so people could identify it was in the correct location. I decided to call the support line when I got home to have my contract note that I'd returned the trailer within the 24 hour rental period. The support person answered pretty quickly, and informed me that I had to check the trailer in online, via uhaul.com/share . I had never had to do that before, she explained the process had recently changed. OK, fine. I went to go check in online, only to get part way thru the steps to discover that I HAD TO RUN IT FROM THE FACILITY LOCATION. No one, at any point, told me this requirement. At that point it was quarter after midnight, I was exhausted and was not going to drive the 10 miles back to this location. Ironically, we dropped it off that night so we wouldn't have to get up early on Sunday. But I ended up having to go into the store first thing Sunday morning. Making matters worse, it was thunderstorming on Sunday morning when I had to go to the store. So I got soaked walking thru the parking lot. I don't have a problem following the process, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure the "must do it here, not at home" gets communicated to every customer! It was very disappointing to discover that I had to get up early to do exactly what I was trying to avoid.

Everything was perfect.

My experience with this location has been inconsistent. I rented a trailer within the last 2 months and received good customer service with the front desk team. My recent rental of a truck was not good. The staff was very unfriendly. The check-in process was bad despite speaking with a manager. The truck was old, falling apart and the headlights were too dim to safely use at night.

Wait times to pick up equipment was excessive. Wait aprox 30 minutes to get the trailer as there was one lady working the counter helping another guest with a line almost out the door with other customers behind me.., then had to sit and wait for someone to hook up the trailer.., location was just as bad when I dropped the trailer off at a different time of day hoping to avoid the waits..,

Return dropoff Signage not clear you must be physically there to accomplish the after hours return on uhaul.com. In my case, I had to drive back to the facility. Very annoying.

This location is extremely professional and well run. We have rented from other U-Haul locations and had very poor customer service experiences. Don't mess around with other U-Haul dealers. This Plano location is top notch.

I rented an enclosed 6'x12' trailer a few weeks ago and that trailer was much better than this one. At least twice I was not sure if I would get the pull down door shut. Just as bad was the fact that inside the tie down points were an issue. IMO, this trailer should be retired or reconditioned.

Maybe credit the customer if the equipment was turned in early. Overall excellent experience.

I dropped off after hours and used the web site. It worked great and was easy. Only problem was the return lanes were so full it wasn’t clear where to put the truck. More signage or instructions would be helpful.

We were in and out in 5 minutes flat! It couldn’t have been any easier!

Test your equipment prior to customer pickup; the connector on the wire to link the lights on the trailer to my car was bad, and as such I had to wait while the agent trouble shot the connection and replaced it.

I rented a trailer to pickup a motorcycle from the dealership. When I arrived I found out I could not pick it up due to it being damaged. I had to return the trailer. I had the trailer about 20 min. No credit issues and no consideration. I was told that since I left the lot with it, so i had to pay for it. Very disappointed
