Really great and fast service. It was the easiest part of the job today.

As a regular Uhaul customer I found this to be a disappointing experience. I rented the large truck with the intention of moving specifically sized bins, and when I got the truck to my home I realized the wheel wells in the truck were too big to allow me to fit the bins in the truck. In the end the truck was worthless to me, and within an hour of having taken it I called and asked if I could return it for at least a partial refund, but this request was not granted.

Any comments.

Employees were smoking right outside the front door. I had to walk through puffs of smoke just to get in. It would be more welcoming if they did that around the back.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I needed to have wiring modifications done for use of a trailer and they had provided the required connections even late in the day close to closing time. I’ll definitely use them again

Employees were filthy dirty and their pants were half on on one of the employees. The prices was rediculous! I had the truck for an hour and a half and I was charged almost $67.00. I wouldn't recommend that place to my worse enemy.

All stuff are very kind and very easy to rent van. Thanks

1) I showed up late due to plane delay and found that my van had been rented to someone else (with no replacement except box truck). Manager sent me to another location, promising that a van would be there. However, when I called that location to verify, I was told that it did NOT have any van to rent. If I had not called to verify, I would have been completely screwed because that trip would have used up all my time until uhaul locations closed for the day. 2) Box truck I ended up renting had only 1/4 tank of gas 3) truck had a RR tire with half pressure; took me 5 gas stations to find one with an air compressor sufficiently powerful to pump the tire 4) truck was dirty inside with left over crap such as toothpaste and mouthwash in the door pockets Note the manager did discount my bill upon return of truck

This was my first experience with U-haul and will be my last. My reservation was for San Rafael but U-haul couldn’t deliver the trailer 10 miles to that location. The Richmond location had only the trailer and none of the other items I had reserved. I had to go to another location to rent the other items I needed for my move.

Great overall experience.

The employees were bickering, the cashier took forever to complete the transaction with no communication as to why he was taking so long, and they were making negative comments about each other the entire time. And then another employee made a mistake and they all started arguing more and the power went out. Overall a terrible experience.

Nothing personal about the staff that is working at this Richmond location, but it is poorly managed. I had a very frustrating experience renting a 6X12 trailer for which I had already completed the "express checkin" process and I was late to my move actually missed my deadline and it cost me an additional $300 dollars. I waited in line over 1.5 hours to get into the front desk with lots of other people very frustrated. The excuse they kept using was that "burning man" was going on. After I got my trailer rented I waited an additional 45 minutes for it to be hooked onto my car because they had no wires to connect it so they had to make new ones which took longer. This was just incredible because it would be like if you went to Starbucks or Peets and they said there is no coffee ready yet. Uhaul, this is your business so you have to be prepared for busier times and have the proper equipment ready when a client has made a reservation well in advance! Your staff is doing the best they can and I appreciated it. The gentleman who was outside running around looked very busy and was doing his best with a great attitude, but that's not the point. You really need to get your act together because It was a very frustrating experience overall.

Let us know where this location is before leaving U-Haul.

Scheduled a rental in Vallejo, had to pick up in Richmond (across a bridge) so I had $25 extra in bridge toll. The lady I spoke to on the phone at the scheduling department was very rude and unprofessional, and offered no help. The fenders on the trailers had loose bolts on them, and luckily I noticed this when I got to my next location so they didn’t fall off. And to top it all off I had to return it back to Richmond which is a 30 minute drive and across a bridge for me. (More bridge toll) not very happy with my uhaul experience at all.

Uhaul should have a booked vehicle ready at the right location. I got a very short notice that they don’t have it in Berkeley and transferred me to Richmond. This was very inconvenient, I had to take a cab for pickup and after return instead of bicycle. It also cost me more time, gas and mileage. So far, I didn’t get any reimbursement.

Update, maintenance, clean up a bit. Looks and feels like an old abandoned gas station. Lot personnel friendly and helpful! Counter personnel seemed quite disinterested.
