This location was great. The issue was with my prior reservation on the same day, where my reserved truck was not at the location. This caused loss of money due to hired movers not being able to work. The 24/7 phone pickup needs work.

Shawna King was awesome when I was checking out my vehicle. Despite the internet being down and several people checking in at once, she was friendly & professional.

Christy S.

The mobile process is a nice feature and the Uhaul representative that helped me check out was efficient, friendly, and professional. (Please see checkout details for her name so you can thank her.)

i wasn't aware of the tow/haul button and how to use it. The staff there is very efficient and helpful. the process was very quick and professional. an exceptional experience.

When i picked up the truck it started fine. After sitting for couple of hours when i went to return it to the site it wouldn't start. I found the negative cable on the battery was loose and need to be tightened After making the repair it started fine. I reported this to the rental location personal

When we got the van home, we determined that the left rear turn signal and brake light were inoperable and we had to call u-haul roadside service and wait around for them to show up. Then, he didn't have the right bulb so had to go get one. Also, the sliding door slid off the track when fully open, and the sliding door had a gap between the door and the van at the top. Not very well maintained.

I have used the downtown location several times over the years and have always been treated to professional and friendly service. I really appreciate the online service making the reservation experience seamless.

I use the app to reserve and check in. I find it cumbersome that I have to continually photograph my driver license and enter my credit card information. I've got an account. Why can't these things be remembered? Also, it's tiresome to reserve equipment and be forced to click through several "up sell" screens; do you need supplies? do you need storage? do you need help? NO! I just want to rent a trailer.

Mazelle L.

It was frustrating when I tried to contact the office-- I was on hold for 15 minutes, then got hung up on after a rep started to help me so I had had to call back and was on hold for another 12 minutes.

Open at 8:00am on Saturday as opposed to 9:00.

Excellent customer service from pick up to drop off

I had 4 dozen moving blankets in my reservation and the store only had 6 blankets when I picked up the truck. I was counting on more blankets. Your system shouldn't let me reserve them if they're not going to be available.

This location seems to be understaffed. The lady helping us was very friendly and went above and beyond to help everyone in line, but she was basically by herself. There was one other employee who was working but was in the propane area. More staff would be helpful during high volume days.

I really like the app-based rental experience. What I don't like is to have to input all the same information every time I rent. Can't you store my driver license photo, credit card info, etc. so I can rent with just a few clicks?

John O.

The truck bed was not that clean. There was cut and broken glass found.

Jacob C.

Very poor customer service

Give us the keys next time before we go to the truck and wander around aimlessly. Even the guy outside was confused. We thought he had the keys..... we thought he had the keys.... then it was awkward for everyone. But. They are awesome. I mess up too. Get your rental here.

I used the U-Haul app and customers are prompted to photograph the vehicle from multiple angles and report any blemishes that aren't marked by an "X." It makes me feel somewhat petty to point out small dings and scuffs, but I worry I'll be held liable if I don't document EVERY LITTLE THING. Also: I guess different customers each have their own definition of "clean." The van I rented had food wrappers littering the floor and dog hair on the seats. Again, I documented because I'm afraid I'll be charged for cleaning.

Allow 48 hour rentals

Since we have to do online reservations it should also include payments. So you don't have to use credit card machines.

Helpful plesant counter person

Everything went smoothly.

In-person transactions are generally much smoother than using the app when renting vehicles. The staff is very efficient and friendly. : )

I had reserved a covered 6x12 trailer that was confirmed. I drove down from Redding to Sacramento to move my mother. I was on a very tight timeline. I showed up to pick it up and it wasn't there. Then the rep was going to send me to another location 10 miles away on a “maybe” they'll have it “maybe” they won't. So I had to keep insisting she call that location multiple times to find out for sure. Long story short...that other location didn't have it either. So I had no other option but to use a 6x12 utility trailer, and in moving my mother we lost some items in the move due to not being prepared to use a “open style” trailer. It was overall a very bad experience. I was very disappointed in this lack of organization.
