RE: confirmatin #21523261 Terrible service. I got a text from Uhaul (Randy) one hour before my pickup time that the truck is ready and I can go to the truck to do a self checkout. I went to the truck and started the self checkout. Completed 3 out of 7 steps until it asked for a POC to verify. I gave a POC number, but the POC didn't answer, so the checkout could not be completed. The website told me to go to the store to checkout. I went to the store. It supposed to open at 10am, but no one was there at 10. There was another couple there that got a text from Randy for their van, but couldn't complete the self checkout and was waiting for the store to open. I texted and called Randy but got no answer. The other couple was trying to contact him as well. I called the Uhaul 800 number and waited for 25 minutes before someone answered. Still they could not help me get the truck. After 45 minutes waiting and calling, the other couple was able to get a hold of Randy and he gave them the combo to the key. I immediately called Randy and he answered and processed my checkout. Terrible, terrible service. If the website posts a business hour, then someone should be there to open at the designated time.

It was a little confusing when dropping off. We had driven to the site we picked it up but the website said to bring it to a different location. It also said we would get charged if not dropped off at specified location. A man came up and told us we were in the wrong spot (website address). No problem, just confusing!

Thank goodness for Randy at U-Haul. I started the process online, but there was a glitch in sending/processing the photo of my license. I was three times to send photo which I did - three times. Finally, Randy overrode the online process and I was on my way rather quickly. Returning the rental using the drop box was very nice and easy.

Supposed to return the truck at 10am and the location is scheduled to open at 10am. However, nobody showed up at this location. Called customer service but did not solve the problem and asked us to return to truck to a site 8 miles away. Wasted a lot of time. Originally chose this location because it's very close and thought it would be convenient, however, it turned out to be a very bad experience. NO STAFF at the location and he showed up one hour later than when he is supposed to be there!

There needs to be better email communications as to where the vehicle is parked. I was VERY nervous as the truck was parked two miles away from the location and I went to the above address. That is not where the vehicle was parked. PLEASE FIX THIS.

This was not a good experience. I picked up the truck early using the web process to get the key. For some reason it required calling my wife for a second phone number verification. She was asleep and did not pick up. My reservation was suspended, and could not be reset. I ended up speaking to 5 different people at uhaul over 1.5 hours trying to resolve. I was transferred to regional, which was closed, and then disconnected. Someone finally unlocked the account, but it was a very frustrating experience. I don’t know if I would use Uhaul again if there are comparable other choices. The truck and rates were fine. My issue is 100% with the checkin process.

So I tried the remote rental.. where I had to log in online and pick up.. First off.. if I would have known that I had to have two people wait by the phone when I was picking up my rental.. Kristal.. your employee who was remotely trying to varify those two people.. and when she supposedly could not reach one of them.. sent a message saying I would not be able to continue and quit the conversation. Needles to say I was pretty pissed there at the truck after hours and now having to figure out what I am going to do.. If it was not for Randy at this location and his customer service and answering his phone after hours... I would not rent another truck from U-Haul.. if I ever do rent from U-haul.. I will not use the self Service rental.. your customer service (Krystal) was terrible and the whole process is a disaster!!!

Since the pickup is remote from the Kiosk, please be sure to confirm that the return is the same. Your email requested the return to the Shay service but my vehicle is parked at the pick up location. In that case your app does not request any information. My return mileage was 47628 and I put in 2 gallons of gas so over 1/2 full. Time was 11:47 AM. Mike Mallinger

I lost 40 minutes of my reservation just trying to get into the truck. The location didn’t have any parking to park my car while getting the truck. Was told to go to two different locations to check in on the website. Website never worked. Very poor process and would not use again.

Place was listed as being open at 10AM on Sunday,. Arrived shortly after 10AM and no one was there. Also, difficult to find as it was a small kiosk and not the normal Uhaul store I expected. Had to call 1-800 number for help. The 1-800 people were very helpful. I wound up parking the truck nearby and dropping the key in an orange box.

We were charged for fuel and demand refund. Our truck was returned full of fuel. We have the receipt from fueling the truck just prior to dropping off the truck. No onsite personnel available, no returned calls after 3 messages. Unacceptable. Demand for refund of the fuel charge is hereby made.

The location was great and cheese to where I needed it. But the vehicle was drenched in the smell if cigarettes, there was a 1/4 of a water bottle in the cab, the cab walls were splattered with gross junk All over, the bed had trash in it and also I was never given the key for the truck bed lock. So I couldn't lock the back at all, even over night. The worst worst part was the strong cigarette sent stained into the cab. Other than that, the truck did the job great!

Despite having four locations listed within 10 minutes of my house, Uhaul sent me 20 miles to pick up my rental. Fortunately the agent could pull himself from his day job to complete the check-out. May never rent another truck if I have to 'remote check-out'.

Drop off location personnel was very courteous, but the communication between U-Haul and drop off location personnel was extremely frustrating as I continued to receive phone calls and emails from U-Haul wanting to know the status of the truck days after drop off had occurred. Overall - the experience was chaotic from start to finish. Poor training and poor communication
