There is absolutely nothing I can say positive. When initially renting the truck, the worker I dealt with would not specify what part of my $135.31 was payment for the rental and how much was the deposit (I do not have a credit card so I had to do a deposit on my debit card that I would then get back upon returning the rental truck). Also, this same worker told me more than once that I had 24hours before the rental needed to he returned. Minutes after leaving the property I received a text message from UHAUL informing me I only could have the truck for 12hours (completed transaction just before 4pm on December 31st. Text message told me I had to have the truck returned by 330am January 1st). Due to the holiday, I had to bring the rental back and park it and leave the key in the mailbox designated for the key return. I brought the rental back, parked it with just over 1/4 tank of gas (the last thing I did before returning it was to put $20 in cash in gas to ensure it would be no less than 1/4 tank), and deposited the key into the mailbox designated at approximately 1030pm December 31st. Today, January 5th at approximately 6pm, I went to this same location, Ballantrae Ontario (Ballantrae Food Market) to get my deposit back. Not only was I told I would not be getting my deposit back, I was told I owed MORE money because there was less than 1/4 tank of gas in the rental upon return (according to the worker). I asked this worker for her full name so that I would be able to call UHAUL to rectify the situation and she refused, her name is Sharon (however she said it very quickly and then wrote it down poorly which is VERY difficult to read) but she refused to give me her last name. She was unable to explain to me why I owed another $70 other than to say the gas was at 1/8 of a tank. I will never use this location again, in fact I will not be using UHAUL again in the future because of this experience (unless it is rectified by UHAUL). This is an absolutely unacceptable experience with what I thought was a reputable company. I will be sure to let people know NOT to use this UHAUL location. Depending on how UHAUL's head office/costumer service handles this situation and fixes it appropriately, I will be telling people not to use UHAUL at all.

This is a convenience store uhaul dealer location. The primary business is the convenience store the staff are not trained to manage the uhaul business and refer all questions to uhaul customer service. The customer service wait times are extremely long. The uhaul app was crashing and we did everything through uhaul.com after being told we had to use the app. The online portion was extremely lengthy and unexpected.

The reservation system is silly. Does not work well. I originally reserved from Port Perry. They moved my reservation to Ajax. Your system should ask. I had to to cancel and rebook for a location that was near where I am. Then the person I spoke to did not do it properly. Reservation disappeared. Only cancellation. When I called back to confirm reservations customer service guy was very helpful.

Uhaul rep did not even come out to inspect vehicle before signing off. we had to do pre-inspection ourselves. She was only person at this convenience store location so it appears the onus is on the customer to check everything out so we took pictures and recorded everything to safeguard us from being held responsible for dirty condition and prior damage to vehicle.

We had to dig the truck out of its spot in the parking lot. It was under 4" of snow and ice, and had been plowed in when the lot was cleared. As the cashier was the only one working at the store, if the phone rang or other customers came in, the rental business was put on hold. Especially when the final inspection happened, the attendant needed to serve other customers and then lock up the store to do the truck inspection. Surely there must be a better way.

I have rented from Uhaul many times but this time was the worst experience. I have already completed my express check-in online but when I arrived, their computer connection was not working. The rep at this location instead of helping me, just called the uhaul customer service and handed me the phone. Im guessing they had to manually rent the truck to me. The phone rep asked for my credit card number a total of 3 times to get it processed. What usually takes 5 minutes ended up taking atleast 20 mins. Once I got the key, the 26' truck was not maintained at all.Snow around the truck was not cleared making it difficult to drive off. Snow was piled on the truck itself and the windshield had frozen bits on it taking atleast 15 mins for truck to warm up before the windshield was clear. Upon driving off the lot and down the road about 3 kms, the rear door popped open. Luckily I had someone following me to let me know.

When we returned the vehicle we had just filled up the gas. The girl at the store added a fuel charge to our bill. I told her we had just filled it up, but she said it was too low. It was not low. She would not remove the fuel charge. I would not recommend this store because of the customer service. The U-haul truck itself was fine and it did everything we needed.

My actual location was Stopark Storage - 5417 Bethesda Rd, Stouffville, ON. I showed up with my van sitting right in front of the office, but I couldn't use the self pickup feature because "a piece of equipment was not available". I called U-Haul customer service, who said that maybe the previous renters put the keys in the dropbox, but since the store was closed because of Labour Day, nobody was available to retrieve the keys for the next customer. You would think the situation of the store being closed would have a solution at this point, considering it probably occurs quite frequently. U-Haul really dropped the ball and I am not at all happy with my experience. I will try to avoid ever using U-Haul in the future. Terrible experience. Maybe a dropbox with a code lock instead of a key lock would work better, considering every person who rented a van from that location yesterday got screwed over. Just a thought...

We have been buying moving boxes from your Aurora, On location and the rented a truck. With all our transactions there were issues with the software. It was glitchy and kept freezing up. At the Ballantrae location,we waited for 10 minutes on hold and then were hung up on and had to call again and wait on hold AGAIN for someone to process our order. It was not a good experience.

I was book for 26 " truck , but we I called them they said , they have 20" truck , even I was moving from markham to grismby I had to go couple time back and forth so bad expernice entry moving , if known they don't have 26" truck , I would do differently . I was very dispoinned in generally .

I ordered a 26 foot truck, 24 hours before pick up I get a phone call from uhaul that confirms my order for a 20 foot truck??? I tell them I ordered a 26 foot truck and the lady on the line says " well we dont have one for you to pick up, so you can only have a 20 foot truck with a tow trailer" She offered no discount or apologie. I was sceduled to pick up my 'now 20 foot truck and trailer' from the Bradford location at 7:30am the next day. I arrive at the location at 7:30am only to have the employee not show up untill 8:30am. I had customer service on the phone aswell trying to get in touch with employee. At 8:30am when the employee finally shows up, he tells me 'did anyone call you? The truck is not coming, I got a phone call from the other client and they arw not returing the truck.' Well thanks for calling me lol!?!? I then get back on the phone with customer service and the send me to Stouffville to pick up a truck there, but no trailer. Meanwhile I have movers waiting at my house! I arrive in Stouffville at 9:30am get my truck, the two rear tires are at 3 maybe 4/32 which would not be safe in rain and then I am on my way. I get the truck to my house start loading and of course all my belongings do not fit! I had to leave so much behind, I had no choice, and I had a four and half hour drive to my new house. The second lady I had on the line at uhaul deducted $100 off my $650.00 bill, that was nice.

I spent nearly 45 minutes while the owner tried to enter my information, in fact I ended up going behind the counter and doing it myself. Their English was very poor. When I phoned to book the truck my information was lost and booking agent had to call me 3 times. This was not a pleasant experience.
