We had no problem with the location where we picked up/dropped off our truck, Scottie was wonderful. The problems we had were with U-Haul itself. I booked the truck over a month in advance online. It said that our location we chose was our preferred location, but they were supposed to call me 24 hours in advance to confirm. I did the express pickup when I booked it over a month before we needed it. We were supposed to pick up the truck at 7 a.m. on Satuday, 8/11. I received a text at 8:15 p.m. the night before saying the location had changed, but the time was still the same. Not a major deal, but it was farther from our house. At 8:45 p.m. I received a call saying we couldn't pick up the truck until 8:30 a.m. This was a bit frustrating and when talking to the person, I looked up the reservation on my account and noticed the price increased from $78 to &92 with 206 miles. She agreed to change the price back to the original $78, On Saturday morning, we arrived to pick up our truck and Scottie told us she wasn't sure why they would tell us to come there, because when she had left the night before, the truck was not even there. She went and checked the parking lot where they keep their trucks and it was there. When she was going over everything, the mileage had been changed to 103 miles. It was impossible for us to take our son to college and bring the truck back in 103 miles. When she changed the mileage back to the original 206 miles I was quoted, it changed the total price to over $200. There was a sign there that gave the number for the area field manager - Daryl Schrock. I went over everything with him and he said he would call me back. He called me back and said everything was fixed. When Scottie pulled it up again, it was still wrong. She called Daryl and they finally got it all fixed. We ended up not leaving there until 9:30. Remember originally, we were supposed to pick up our truck at 7:00 by express pickup, so now we were 2 1/2 hours later than we planned. This was very frustrating. On our way to take my son to college in Boone, NC I received a text saying they had changed our drop off locaiton to Deep Gap, NC - this is no where near our house, it is near where we were taking him to college in Boone. Of course, my cell service was not working well at this point since we were in the mountains. I tried calling the location we rented from several times, no one answered and there was no answering machine. I called Daryl and left him a message. He tried to call me back, but I didn't have any service. He didn't leave a message. When I got cell phone service back, I called him back. He sounded a little irritated with me and told me not to worry about the text I received and just to return the truck to where we picked it up. Needless to say, it was a very long frustrating day for us. We have moved 12 times since we have been married and have always rented a U-Haul for our moves. I will no longer use U-Haul or rece
