Not much. By biggest complaint has always been the amount of time it takes to check trucks out. In this case, I was in and out very quickly, and the check in process was equally straightforward. The Express Check-in process makes a world of difference (although renting on a weekday rather than a weekend probably helped quite a bit).

I wasn't paying attention when I booked my rental and discovered that I booked at different location than the one I showed up at. Luckily they had a van available and the agent was able to transfer the reservation. The van had less than 15K miles and it was easy to drive. I will probably rent again soon.

The people were nice at this location. However I was treated horribly on the phone b someone who identified as 'Justin" at the "North Austin Location". I have attempted to follow up with you all. The process has been laborious. i've never been treated this way on a phone call with any customer service issue. Please find that phone call. You will see an abusive employee. This is absolutely horrifying that you have people in your organization that treat others that way.

I was extremely disappointed with the service here. Demetries was disorganized, switched trucks out on us, and didn't check or verify the truck. He told us the wrong return time and charged us for an extra day when we returned it 5 minutes after said time. There was absolutely no concern for customer satisfaction and he was rude and argumentative. There wasn't a manager on premises to speak to about our concerns and the fact that we had to pay extra for a miscommunication on the part of Demetries. Rather than listen to our concerns, he seemed intent on arguing. If I could give this place a negative star, I would.

The gentleman handling our rental pickup was helpful & patient, going over the various truck sizes available & what best to fit our immediate needs. A day later, returning our rental we dealt with a female employee that made it clear we were interrupting her from the toothpick she was chewing on. No smile. No eye contact. Much more interested in that toothpick than in helping us close out our rental transaction. Later: “Can I help you?” “No, go ahead and finish that toothpick. Looks like you got a good one going there.” I swear the whole time that toothpick never left her mouth, only shifted from cheek to cheek. Finally checking our rental back in, asked if we had any questions. I asked, “what kind of mileage should a customer expect on a 17 foot truck?” “I don’t know. I’d have to check” “Take a guess” “10-12 miles per gallon” “I put 40 miles on this truck. Not 39, not 41, exactly 40. As I was refueling, I was expecting 3-4 gallons. When it hit 7, I was wondering if it would ever stop. It topped off at 7.4 gallons. That’s 5.4 miles per gallon!” “We can’t be responsible for the way you drive. We don’t know how large a load you’re carrying. How long you’re sitting in traffic. You probably had it set on “Haul”. “No, I was instructed to click off the “Haul” setting, which is the first thing I did on each of my 4 trips.” After a few more chomps on the toothpick, said there was nothing she could do. Let’s face it. When I took the truck out, the gauge may have registered “F” but it was likely down a couple of gallons. Common sense is that I just paid for someone else’s fuel. Bottom line: What a rude, disgusting & embarrassing front line employee to represent the U-haul brand. Anthony from “Hotel Impossible” should pay this place a visit. I’ll never do business here again. Boy did she piss me off!

I am frustrated by the requirement of going through a central number to reserve equipment. More than once in my recent U-Haul experience, I have been told there are no trucks available, however "the store down the street" does have availability. There should be an option to contact specific stores that are nearby when I call.

Returning the van was really the only hiccup on our trip. The app that was being used to document the care of the van was messing up. It seemed like something that could have been done manually and then later entered into the computer (something that I believe U-Haul did in the past). It wasn't super slow, but it could have been a little less tedious. I'm just some guy, though.

I rented this truck on 11/7 at 12:30 p.m. And returned it on 11/8 3:33pm with gas more than what you all had and on it drove it 12 miles. I am literally up the street. Yet you charge me another day. You are freaking rediculous. I will post on all social media and will NEVER rent from you all ever. Horrible and unsatisfied to the fullest. If I was told that keeping it for 2.5- 3 additional hours you would charge me another day. I would mot have rushed and kept it another day. Horrible experience.

I was told one rate of mileage on the phone. ($0.40/mile) I was charge more the double the mileage once I returned the truck. ($0.89/mile) What should have been around $12.00/mile suddenly was over $30.00/mile. I feel like I have been through the bait & switch. I will not use U-haul again.

The low tire pressure light was on when I picked up the van. I reported that when I turned it in; I'm certain that the manager was already aware of it. Please keep the tires aired to proper pressure.
