When I arrived to pick up the trailer, I was asked if I could hook it up myself. I said yes. I went out to try to hook it up and it was in a little rut. I went into ask the clerk for help, he cam out to help me. On the way out he said, "I tried to move it out to the front for you but I couldn't move it out of the rut by myself". Clearly if a healthy 20 something couldn't do it by himself, he should have just come out and helped me

There seems to be breakdown in communication between central UHaul and Ayer. I had reserved a 17' truck. My Ayer email confirmation email said 15', I called and spoke to two people to clarify (one at 866-700-5545) was assured I was getting a 17'. At pickup in Ayer, only a 15' was available.

Kenny, at this location was extremely helpful. I was told when I called U-Haul that there were no box trucks available, only a cargo van. (not sure where that operator was ??)The operator required I give her my information including credit card info before I even knew whether or not a truck was available. I was not at all happy with that operator. Kenny, who I had never met before, was very helpful. He helped me figure out if what I was moving would fit in the van. He suggested the small box truck which worked out well. Seems a significant lack of communication between the operator and the rental locations . . .

I went to the location to pick up my requested Uhaul, after checking my conformation email to make sure it was the correct location. The email said to go to 655 Water st Fitchburg ma 01420. Once I got there the location was closed, they are not even open on Sundays. I had been confirmed to pick the uhaul up on a Sunday at this location. I waited over 20 min in the parking lot trying to contact uhaul. They then told me they had called the "provided number" which was not my number at all and spoke to someone who confirmed it was not myself but told them the pick up location had changed. Then I had to drive about 26 min to another location to get a uhaul.not very happy with Uhaul at all

Do what you say you are going to do. I reserved a truck well in advance, then was left a message the day before my pickup that I needed to call and reserve a truck. When I called, they did have my reservation, but no truck. I had to scramble for over an hour to locate a truck - I don't know why no one in the U Haul organization felt they needed to take responsibility for getting me one. After I dropped off the truck, I was sent a bill for gas, even though I filled the tank to its original level. This entire rental process left a bad taste in my mouth. Next time I'll go elsewhere.

After all the bad reviews I was very skeptical of using this service, I had no choice and had to use them and hoped for the best. I ordered a 10' Truck the day before or about 23 hours in advance which is very short notice. My tuck was there in great condition, Check In and Check Out was a breeze, and it costed less than anticipated. My only suggestion is having the employee inspect the vehicle more thorough, All they did was check the miles and gas gauge which is very unfair for the next customer who may get blamed for something the previous customer did. But for all I know they may have a mechanic inspect it after returning it.

The person working when we initially picked up the vehicle was courteous. However, when we returned the vehicle that evening, the guy was extremely rude - complaining about the condition of the vehicle (my husband had inadvertently left a Subway bag on the front seat, which he promptly removed) and insisting that we drove further than we did and charging us accordingly. Clearly it was our mistake for not checking what had been written down for mileage as there had to have been a discrepancy, but after an already long day of moving, we paid the difference anyway since we had no proof. However, there was no need for the unpleasant attitude in general.
