Unfriendly customer service at checkout. Sometimes there are friendly people there but I never really feel welcome

For some reason this location didn't appear in the list of drop-off locations that our pickup location people had. This gave us some issues when picking up the vehicle (no issues dropping it off). It is clearly a uhaul drop-off location and shows up on the Uhaul site, but for some reason is not registered in the database at our pickup location. If it is an official registered drop-off location it SHOULD be appearing so the confusion we ran into doesn't happen. The staff did not show us to the vehicle we were renting, which was not a big problem for us since we are relatively familiar with Uhaul vehicles (we found it eventually after trying the key on other similarly sized uhaul vehicles in the lot), but this is poor business practice at best, especially if the customer has never driven a uhaul before (luckily, we have). It's one of the only pickup locations in the area, so you kind of have to go with them, but allowing poor business practices just because you are the only location in an area is rather scummy. Not a terrible experience by any means, but definitely not the best. I would recommend it because it's one of the only locations in the area, but that's the only reason.

it was lunch time, and there were quite a few customers- only 1 person at the counter, finally after 10-15 mins, a second person came on. Would suggest having more than 1 person at lunchtime when the retail public would come in on their lunch break.

I did the entire thing online. That was cool. When I arrived at the place, I found my vehicle, did the damage review, photographed my id and my own picture, did my credit card, and was told to show my phone to the clerk. The clerk immediately said, "Oh, that doesn't work here. You can't rent like that." I didn't really care what she had to say since I already gave my credit card, so I told her that we are doing this because it has already happened. Your clerks need to a) know what they are talking about and b) not be rude when presented with new and confusing technologies.

I called from BIRCHBAY BLAINE WA. to set up and DID reserve a pickup truck FROM BIRCHBAY. I was told I only got it for 24 hours. Which I accepted and RESERVED FROM BIRCHBAY BLAINE WASHINGTON since I only had a few blocks in BIRCHBAY to load and load. When I arrived in BIRCHBAY UHAUL I was told the pickup truck was now in Ferndale ... and it would COST ME bringing it back to BIRCHBAY where I reserved it from in the first place. I was STUCK with a van... or PAY THE EXTRA!! What a scam!!! On top of this we were told someone reserved the pickup truck for a WEEK!! Where we were given only 24 hours. Technically if you'd given these other ppl 24 hours we would had the PICKUP TRUCK instead of the useless VAN!! We all hit our heads loading and unloading and we're VERY UNHAPPY! Because it was so impossible we only made one trip and quickly returned it. Terribly unprofessional.

Fix the asphalt "dropoff" for those making right turns onto the road from the office, unless watching the trailers buck is great entertainment. :)

I couldn't really tell about this location since the vehicle was dropped off after hours. But I will say that it was very easy. FEEDBACK: the lady on the phone said I don'tt have to lock the truck. She was patient and helpful. HOWEVER, given that the back of the truck contained 18 blankets and a utility truck, I didn;t want them to be stolen. AO MY ONLY CHOICE WAS TO GIVE B A C K TO U-HAUL for FREEEEEEE the $10 or so LOCK MY SISTER PURCHASED TO FIT THE TRUCK. Is that an oversight on your part, or a racket to get people to buy equipment and then give it back to you?? It doesn't loooooook good. Really chumpy Also, If you DON'T ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS IN A FEEDBACK FORM, YOU WON'T GET THE RIGHT INFORMATION. YOU DON'T ASK GOOD QUESTIONS - THE RIGHT QUESTIONS. SORRY, BUT... At LEAST you guys had a truck when Penske bailed on me. But none of you is doing a really REALLY good job, and you could be. It's partly because many of the people you hire are minimum-wage-worker-mentality people. Cut in to your profit a bit with increased salaries - you'll be pleasantly surprised what it does for your bottom line.

The staff was AWESOME, so I'd definitely recommend the location. The truck itself wasn't so great. There was what appeared to be blood smeared on the walls of the moms attic area, along with dirt and debris all over the floor and ramp. The interior of the cab was dirty as well, including caked on food in the bottoms of the drink holders. We didn't bother to clean up the cab since we didn't really ride in it much, but we did our best to clean up the back (with the exception of the blood). One other suggestion...I wish you wouldn't tie a hand-truck and furniture pads into the back of the truck with tamper evident ties so they can't be moved. That is space I paid to be able to use, but couldn't without being charged $20 per day (so $60 overall) just for shifting products I neither needed or wanted out of the way. Please rethink that product placement. In the future I'll check for them when I pick up the truck and request they be removed at the location if they're there.

Worst customer service ever. Lied to, nickle and dimed, and seemed as if they intentionally wasted our time. Will be calling shortly to file a very lengthy complaint.
