I would not recommend uhaul to ANYONE. I waited 2 whole hours past the start of my reservation to even receive my cargo van. There should never be a situation where a cargo is scheduled to be dropped off 15 minutes before the next rental. This is extremely poor organization and scheduling on UHAUL’s behalf and I demand a refund for the waste of my time. I already reached out by email (no response) and by phone (placed on hold for hours) but will keep reaching out until I get refunded. The delay in receiving my van pushed back my entire day, and I wasn’t able to finish moving apartments in time to return the van that evening, which meant I needed to park it over night and return it in the morning. A HUGE inconvenience. I’m furious and will never rent from uhaul again.

i chose my rating based on customer service. the attendant was helpful but u-haul should consider updates to its app and inventory. overall, my experience was good, and eventually i got what i needed. wish there was an option for late drop off because there is no parking in brooklyn!

Thank god I thought to look in the back of the truck before taking off. They forgot to put the dolly in the back. I would've been PISSED had I gotten to my apartment to move and there was nothing to carry my bookshelves and heavy boxes down the stairs and to the truck.

Everything went wrong. I scheduled everything 9 days ahead of time. I wanted to do an automatic pick up just using my smart phone for 8:30am on June 30th. I get a phone call at 9pm on June 29th telling me that the truck won't be available until 9am the next day. No big deal. I get there at 9am and the truck is not there. It takes an HOUR AND A HALF for the truck to arrive and the gas tank was completely empty! I had hired a mover already and was an hour late to meet him so I had to pay him for that extra hour. Terrible experience, would not recommend for anyone to pick up a U-Haul at this location. They're clearly very disorganized.

Everything about the uhaul experience was ideal except for one thing. I was charged for the insurance when I didn’t opt in either in my online reservation or in person. I specifically opted out online. I’ve been trying to call Uhaul, write emails and use support chat but I get zero response. I’m extremely upset by now when I tried to reach out the very moment I got my receipt detailing my charge. It’s been days since then and nothing.

I had a horrible experience with my cargo van reservation. My reservation was 2 1/2 hrs late which caused my move to be insanely rushed and did not get to do everything I intended to do with the time allotted! Here is what happened. I made the booking on May 27 to pick up on June 3 at 11am-5pm. I arrived at the location around 10:45am, and began the check out process with the 24/7 app. I easily found the corresponding vehicle id on the van, and was waiting for online approval when the customer service representative came out and gave the van to another customer. When I protested, he informed me that he did not see my reservation and the man who took the van (who I found out had only booked the night before) was already finished with the contract process. In my opinion, the first mistake was the customer service representative did not triple check for my reservation before letting the other customer leave the lot. When we went inside to discover what happened, he did see my reservation as a hold but there was another van expected to return at 9am. He called the other person, who finally returned the van at 12pm. While I was waiting for the return, I called U-Haul customer service line. It took a half hour for anyone to answer the line. When I spoke to customer service, I was told that I could go somewhere else that was not convenient for me, so I decided to wait for the van. When the van arrived, suddenly my reservation was no longer in the system. When I checked on the app, the location changed to another borough that would have taken me 2 hours to get to by subway. Finally the customer service rep treated me as a new reservation and gave me the van. This is completely unacceptable!! It's a shame, because I was planning to use U-Haul services at least 3 more times this month, and now I have to find another moving service. You have lost my business!

Better signage, and grocery clerk awareness, to indicate that the U-Haul pickup desk is at the grocery Customer Service desk. I wasn't sure where to go when I entered, and the closest cashier couldn't tell me.



When customers make appointment with this company they don't keep their promises. I made an appointment with this firm for a ten feet truck to pick it up at 12.00pm on the 4/15/18.When I arrive there the truck was not there and the gentleman in charge told ne I have to wait until the next 2 hours to receive it.I stay at the supermarket from eleven o'clock until almost 2.00to receive the truck. So I did not get to move everything to the storage and the storage close at 3.45.This was a big disappointment for me with your firm.

U-haul is very expensive compared to budget rentals. The last time I rented budget for the same trip I did what u-haul budget was only 20 dollars compared to u-haul 48 dollar. That's why I will never rent a u-haul truck again.

To whom it may concern, I made my first reservation at the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Woodside on Mar 27. Over the phone the women who assisted me informed me that my associate could pick up the truck at anytime, once I made the rental 24 hours. I originally booked it for 9am, but my friends job called him in, I called back to push the time back, and she assured me that making the rental 24hrs would make picking it up later not a problem. The master order number was 83574119. Day of the rental, when my associate arrives , they say there is no 10 footer available, and my order had been cancelled because no one showed up, and there were no more trucks available that day. I called them with the order number and informed them that the women that took my call assured me that I did not have to change the time, just make the rental a 24hr one. The people at the Woodside location told me that the order wasn't placed there, but through costumer service. I then called costumer service, they informed me that the order was placed from that location. That's lie number 1 from the Woodside location. Costumer service also said they had available trucks, (Lie number 2) but when they tried to call from their end, they would not respond and eventually blocked their call. Costumer service then found me the last 10 footer available in the city so I could move. She placed order number 83704708 for me. I'd like to thank her for her help, I was almost left out to dry by the Woodside location. The Woodside location acted in the most unprofessional manner, moving is stressful enough as is. Thank you for you time

Location was randomly attached to a supermarket. The customer service was a bit rude. And returning was ridiculous. There was no drop box for keys and when I called, the person on the phone said they were closed. I asked what do I do with the truck? And his response was I don’t know. Then hung up. In result we had to leave the truck parked outside. Not knowing what to do.
