I think you all need to get on the same page when it comes to credit cards. I was told when I first called to reserve the van, I don't need to bring the card becuase it's only charged after the van has been returned. We would just need to go in, sign a contract and pick up keys. This was not the case and the attendant had to call you all herself to ask why I was the third customer that day to be told the wrong information about your card policy. It also took longer than necessary to get signed in, especially since online I chose the fast track option. I had the van reserved for 3:30pm and wasn't able to leave with it until 4:20. Overall, it wasn't bad but it was most certainly not a smooth or streamlined experience which is not ideal when people might be moving on deadlines.

In regards to billing. I had a voucher worth $30.00usd that was to applied to the total and it never was.

They charged my card a 33 dollars by mistake once I checked in and after I returned the car they charged me a 25 dollars cleaning fee knowing that I just picked up some packed luggage from Ikea it was impossible that I caused the van to be dirty as I returned it in the same condition as I received it and maybe even more clean.

I pulled into the U-Haul location, which was crowded and tight. I was immediately descended upon my a gentleman who screamed at me that I was blocking others from getting out. To quote, "What the fuck are you doin'?" I asked him where I should park, he told me I should be in the street, and I backed the truck up and parked it on the street. Without saying another word, he pointed at me and waved at me to follow him. I did, puzzled, and we reached a mail drop-off box for after hour drop off, and he pointed at it. It wasn't after hours, I wanted to be there while the truck was checked in, but he gave me no choice. So I dropped of the key. In short, he was an asshole of the first degree.

I made a reservation for a 10' Truck for Sunday morning @ 11am pick up. I received an email including the verbiage "You are scheduled to pickup your equipment at Slope Storage on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM for 4 hours ." Yet, when I got there at 11am, I was told that my reservation had been changed to 1:45PM and that no vehicles were available. They said I received an email that it had been changed (which I certainly hadn't.) I called the UHaul customer service line and was told the same thing - that my reservation was for 1:45PM because someone was running late returning a truck. Eventually, someone returned a van around 11:30AM and so I rented that instead. I was not offered a discount for this trouble. It was a horrible, horrible experience.

We used the $19.99 UHAUL van rental. We booked the reservation over a month in advance for 8 hours (so roommate and I could both move on the same day). the night before we picked up the van, they told us we could only use the van for 5 hours and we had to pick up / return it to a far away location compared to what I booked in the reservation. This will be the last time i use UHAUL.

We needed to pick up storm windows from Lowe's. Fortunately it was right next door. Great service and the employees smiled a lot.



It was hard to tell where to go/park. While the guy was helpful he was not in a uniform and for a moment I thought he might not be staff.



I'm not sure why I had to reserve a truck for two days, but I had the job done and returned in 24 hours, but had to pay two days. It was a one way rental. Regardless, I feel I was overcharged.

I made a reservation on 7/6/17 for 7/11/17 for a 15' truck. I called back on 7/10 to confirm, they had no record of the reservation. But I was able to get the same reservation and pricing that was quoted on 7/6. Everything went smoothly from there. The equipment was in good condition. Note: It appears the woman at the desk was in training, she had to ask for help from the man that seemed to be in charge.

I had an extremely horrible experience. When I showed up 10AM to pick up my vehicle I was told they didn't have my reservation "however we can give you a vehicle until 2pm." My original reservation was 24 hours. This forced me to rush my move. I called the UHaul location at 1pm to ask if I can have the vehicle longer they agreed to 2:30pm & said they will let the next customer know. I drop everything, stop my move, rush back, go to the gas station and make it back to the location prior to 2:30pm. I ask if there's another vehicle I can reserve because I still need to move. They ask me if I want the same van? ....Are you serious? What happened to someone reserved this van already??? I was so confused and upset but I was also in a bind and needed the vehicle so I agreed to the "extension." They Extended the rental until 9am the next day. At this point I've made so many unnecessary trips back and forth to the U-Haul location that I spend more money in mileage and gas than I expected. Needless to say I dropped the van off about five hours earlier and received a $101.00 bill for a $19.00 van. Yes Really. U-Haul needs to stop these unfair practices. I will never do business with them again. Beware



We had a last minute cancellation with Budget on Coney Island Ave - they failed to inform us that they were not open on a Sunday AFTER we already were at the location to pick up the truck - and UHaul came through!!!! Great service! Lifesavers!

The interior of the pick-up I rented was gross. The shield dirty on the inside to a dangerous level speaking of vision. Seats and mid console sprayed in all kinds of beverages. Yaiks :( Besides from that good service :)

I made reservations six to seven days in advance and when the time came for me to pick up my truck, I came to find out that my pick up location was moved! I was very upset because I was on a very tight schedule, hence the earlier reservations. Then, when I arrived to the other uninformed location, I had to wait 40 minutes for the place to open. When it opened, I was informed that my pick was moved as well to 3PM, when my reservation was for 10AM. As you can see I was terribly upset. Then, I had to walk all the way back home because I did not have a metrocard, my home was an hour away. I call U-Haul and my wife was conversing with the branch in New Utrecht, where I was originally scheduled, she was able to have us pick up a truck all the way in Gowanus! I had to spend money on a train to head to 88 9th Street and ended up at 88 E 9th in Brooklyn. I had went to the wrong address and had to pay for an Uber. Needless to say, I was not able to pick up a truck until 12PM and I started at New Utrecht at 8AM. I have never had an experience like this before with U-Haul and have a dispute case open.
