I can’t recommend this place because pick up process via the app and mobile didn’t work. I was on the phone with service for 2 hours. Not solutions oriented- they just told me to keep trying again and if the app and site weren’t letting me check in at the location there was nothing they could do. It took a regional manager calling the location manager 2 hrs later to get them to release the keys to the truck. It screwed up the whole night.

I was under the impression my total rental cost was $50 NOT $100. I would have never chosen to rent a Uhaul had I known it would be just as much as hiring a mover. I wasn't going far (North Brooklyn to Queens and back) and wasn't gone long (had the vehicle for 3 hours) and am extremely upset that my charges were so high -- despite using almost no fuel and not traveling far. Could it be the meter was not working properly? I do not understand how a 15 minute drive each way cost so much.

Made a reservation via the website to pick up a 10’ truck at 9am. Due to “technical difficulties” and general representative incompetence, it took over an hour to process my reservation. When I contacted U-Haul to ask for an extension to my reservation, I was told no exceptions could be made and I still needed to return the truck by 1pm. I’ve never used U-Haul’s services in the past, and after this experience, I definitely will not be using them again.

This location is incredibly unsatisfactory. It felt as if the clerk was looking for every way to make money off of our interaction instead of trying to be helpful. Just generally shady - I will go out of my way to never go here again or have my friends/family rent from here.

My experience with uhaul was unacceptably poor, I will not be using this service again and I will be actively advising friends & family not to use this service. My reservation was delayed on two separate occasions to a further location and at a later time, significantly delaying my ability to move. Not only were the multiple delays inconvenient, but when I did arrive at the Sonomax location my reserved truck was not present. The Sonomax attendant was unhelpful in resolving this issue and give me almost no assistance, other than directing me to a uhaul phone number that went straight to voicemail. After waiting over an hour with two separate customer service representative, I then experienced issues with uhaul's app verification. I was finally assisted in changing the reservation to a smaller 10 ft truck (the 15 ft truck I had reserved never appeared). On top of the significant time delays, the smaller truck made the process of moving even more difficult. I would like to reiterate that this was a horrible user experience and that I will be actively steering business away from uhaul going forward.

When you plan your move you have to do it as quick and efficient as possible. In this location: -You have to fight to get priority as person talking to you is also the cashier - you have to be lucky (i wasnt) that they have the add-ons you requested (they didnt have the moving blankets) - you have to know how to operate/find the truck by yourself Horrible experience to be honest...

Have the instructions made clearer to the person at the front desk about the international driving licenses. He had to call a UHaul representative for 15 minutes because he couldn't figure out my French driving license and he had a hard time communicating clearly with the person on the phone because of a language barrier.

Celeste is one of the greatest uhaul employees I have ever met. Most of the locations in brooklyn are filled with rude and angry employees. She is excellent. She helped me get a truck and delt with my reservation in the most professional way I have ever experienced. Thank you!
