Gas station clerk was rude and unfair. Prior mileage was not agreed on. He basically estimated what the mileage was before i began my trip. I unfortunately did not check. He stated that I drove 60 miles despite me showing him from my navigator my entire trip. When i arrived my rental uhaul was not ready. The clerk was not available a young boy was. I waited about 30 minutes past my rental time to get access to the uhaul. Moreover, I stated to only hold my card that I would be paying cash, and my card was charged anyways. Very unprofessional. Will not be renting again.

I had the most terrible experience with U-haul and I will tell all my friends to stay away from your company. I booked a 10' truck 3 weeks prior to my move at the location in Utica. U-haul changed the location 1 week before my move without any notice to Kings highway just to charge me more for mileage. I called and they switched my reservation to Crown Heights location but to a 9' van which is barely enough size for my move. Then on Thursday 5:30 pm they called me to tell me they have changed my reservation to Kings highway location again. My reservation was for Friday morning and it was too late to cancel and get a truck from a reliable legitimate business. They didn't offer no reimbursement for the extra mileage or transportation to/from this location too far from me and subway stations. Worst experience ever. I will tell everyone to stay away from U-haul.

If you reserve a van and pickup time is early the attendant should be on time. I called to say I was running late and was told to come about hour later, when I get there my reservation was dropped from the system and the van was rented to someone else. I was also told by the attendant its because I did the self service online and not with them, it shouldn't make a difference it I did it myself or with him.I have done several rentals with uhaul and did appreciate what happened. Heads up I have two vans reserve for July 12th pick up time is 4:30pm for three days. Thanks

The drivers door can not open on the outside so I had to enter the vehicle from the passenger side every time which was annoying

Not only did I have to wait almost 1 hour for the owner to come so I could check out, the attendant on duty didn't speak good english nor could he help me. Kept saying open the app, which was not working in their area. So nothing could be done. The owner was so nonchalant and didn't really care. I have rented here before and had no problems (young guys there to help). Would never rent here ever again. Upon drop off the owner told me to park next to their building (without even looking up) and there were no spots open at all. Very unorganized and not efficient at all.

The two attendants were rude and insulting. Specifically, the fat Indian one. He “you wearing glasses and you can’t see?” All wanted was the contract to reflect the new drop off time. I had to plea with them to remain respectful and professional because we are conducting business. The second Indian attendant replied, “talking no good. To much talking no good.” I will never use that location ever again. The google reviews are correct. Poor service and it’s also my opinion that they’re tainting the reviews with fails positive reviews. All the negative reviews were spot on. The place smelled like urine late week as I drove by but the constant rain we’ve been experiencing washed some of the stench away. The service was poor and Sonoco fuel should also revoke their rights to use them as a franchise. and uhaul do the same

The vehicles need to be cleaned. The van that I got smelled like someone was smoking weed in it and also urinated in it.

1) the vehicles are in a gas station. They are are parked side by side in a corner of the gas station. The smell of urine is strong in that corner as people go there to relieve themselves. The van that we had also smelled of urine as well. 2) The gas station attendant attempted to have me sign off on the agreement as if I would be the sole driver- even after I explained to him that someone else would be driving the car. When I explained to him that the driver was on the way- he then proceeded to tell me he can process the rental and add the driver when he comes. He processed the rental without adding the driver- and told me, "it's okay. Anybody can drive". I asked him for something in writing. He handed me the standard agreement- assuming that I wouldn't read it. The agreement clearly stated "authorized" driver. I asked him to cancel the initial agreement out- and place the authorized driver on (his license was taken). I assume he didn't because he handed me the same form. The authorized drivers name was not on it. Overall, dirty gas station. Reeks of urine. I wouldn't even buy anything in there. Filthy.

When I first made a reservation for U-Haul truck the location that I selected had a misunderstanding they thought that I wanted it on a Friday instead of a Thursday I call the scheduling department and I was able to get another location that had the 10’ inch truck that I wanted. my suggestion to anyone that is using a U-Haul or any type of moving van to please make sure that you book 2 different U-Haul or different companies so that if one falls through you have the other. I originally wanted Penske and a family member told me to use Uhaul it’s cheaper. So I had reservations for both just in case one fell through. The day of my moving day Penske called and said the person didn’t bring back the truck. So I ended up using Uhaul it was the best choice.

The truck was dirty from coffee cups and the sale rep at the gas station charge me for insurance and I ask not to put that on, he charge me for it any way.

Redefine your scheduling and customer service. I arranged to pick up the truck at a location closer to my house. I received and email with my order. While driving there, I receive 2 text messages but I do not read my phone while driving. I arrive at the first location to find they do not have the truck I requested. I called customer service to claim the $50 “inconvenience fee” advertised on your website. The customer service rep puts me on hold and transfers me without any notification to another rep. I then have to explain the problem to the new rep who tells me I wasn’t inconvenienced because they sent me a text message! I ask how am I not inconvenienced since I am sitting at the wrong location? Again he tells me I’m not inconvenienced since they sent a text. This was the 5th or 6th time I’ve rented a truck in the last 6 months this and will likely be the last.

Second time am renting at this location and I have problems. The equiptments have scratches and I have to tell the person to put a mark on them. He dictates to you what time to take back the vehicle. When u gave him payment instructions he does is own thing. Worst experience.
