The individuals at each of these locations were good, unfortunately our overall experience with U-Haul has been extremely poor and I would not recommend U-Haul and will not use U-Haul on the next leg of our move. I originally reserved the truck at the Glenwood Springs, CO location in which they accepted my reversation I had to move up the date or our reservation. During both or either of these calls I could have been told they probably would not have a truck there. I received an email a day or so before the move stating we would have to pick up the truck in Carbondale. When I called the location, Don was extremely argumentative with me. He stated I would have to to go Carbondale to get the truck and I would receive a $50.00 credit since it was not available at the preferred location. Carbondale also confirmed that I would be receiving the credit. Called the 1-800 number to have the $50.00 credit processed and your corporate "manager" did not see a reason to grant the credit and she also started arguing with me and she did not see a reason to grant the credit. I can be easy to work with but receiving bad attitude right off the bat from both Glenwood and from the corporate office would not put anyone in a pleasant mood either. The manager at corporate also stated that you can reserve a truck but U-Haul does not guarantee that truck will be there, really isn't that what your business is, renting trucks, according to your associates it is not. This could have completely been avoidable if they were up front to begin with and just told me we usually don't have trucks in Glenwood Springs that they'll set me up with a pickup in Carbondale. It would have been a 6 minute round trip drive to pick up the truck in Glenwood Springs but to Carbondale it is 40 minutes. It which you corporate manager didn't seem to think that granted a credit. Really.... Extremely dissatisfied. Sandy Mangnall 303-870-8977

Steering was very dangerous, brakes were squealing. So truck isn't being maintained.

Get more trucks. Both Glenwood Springs, Colorado and Carbondale, Colorado locations complained that there are never enough trucks available for "last minute" renters "such as myself". This would indicate that there is more money to be made if you would increase your inventory. I did not care to hear excuses about why you don't have inventory, you people are in the business to have a vehicle ready to rent out when and if the customer needs one. Complaining to the customer about not having a reservation and then taking his money anyway just shows poor customer concern by the UHaul company overall. The Glenwood Springs store lied when I asked if there was a truck available in Carbondale. They looked in their computer and said there were NO trucks in Carbondale, CO. We went to Carbondale, CO, and sure enough there really was one available in the size we needed. Incidentally, you might tell GOOGLE that there is such a place as Carbondale, Colorado. (I just paid you over $200 to rent a truck in that town). When I googled UHAUL in Carbondale, Colorado, it only gave me Carbondale, Illinois. When I called the number given, he reserved a truck for me, but the guy couldn't give me directions, because he could not figure out where in town I was. Mostly because when I asked him for sure where he was, he replied, "Carbondale, Illinois". I have no idea where Illinois is, let alone a Carbondale, Illinois.
