This comment has nothing to do with this location. He was very pleasant and helpful when picking up the truck. The overall experience we had was below average. We had a truck reserved at a location near our house. Two days before we were to pickup they called. They said the truck is not available and the closest one to pick up was 25 minutes from our house. Which of course added more mileage. Then for the drop off in Charleston SC, there was a U haul right down the street we were told we could drop it off there. Well, before we left to head down, we got a call from U haul saying we could not drop it off there. They gave me a location 30 minutes away. I told her the location we were at and she continued to try and send us way out of our way. I’m thinking because they wanted to add more mileage to our bill. Finally after telling her a few times there was a dealer 10 minutes from us she finally looked it up and agreed we can drop it off there. Took way to long for her to look that location up. As if she thought she was talking to someone who did not know areas in Charleston. Which I told her I was very familiar with Charleston. She still continued to get me to drive several miles away from my location. I would not let her get away with it. I would think twice before using U-Haul in the future. I did not like all the last minute changes to our reservation. U haul does not seem to care about the customer needs. When asked if there would be any compensation for the change, they said no. We ended up going over the mileage because of them sending us to places further away from where we first agreed on. I don’t think I would recommend them to anyone without explaining what we went through with them.

I was called and asked to deliver the truck to this location the day before it was due. I had to return the truck and trailer after hours and it was not an easy place to pull in a truck and trailer. I also had a really hard time with the return online process. I would go through and take all the pictures and answer all the questions and then it would say something went wrong on U-haul's end. I had to repeat this 4 times before it finally went through. After a long day of traveling and unpacking, dealing with a bad return process was the last thing I wanted to do.

The location was great! Your online app didn't work & a big frustration. Didn't work checking in, so the location did it. Checking the truck back in also didn't work, tried calling your 800 number. Your online "customer support" is unacceptable. Sometimes apps don't work, so what is the support?!. I was on hold 25 minutes (after spending 15 trying to get the app to work) then got there's nothing I can do. And was told it's a busy moving season, so hold times are just long (just how it is). Was told I should have gone online if the app did work but need to be at location online check in didn't work either). And I needed to be at the location. I explained sitting in a dark parking lot for 40 minutes navigating a piece of software that doesn't seem to work properly was not a terribly acceptable solution. She said I could go back there in the morning. To which I started I have to work so can't. She said she was trying to help me (really?!) & I had given me my options & she hung up on me. Must be frustrating to be working in phone customer support when the company doesn't give you much to do to help customers & no backups for technology that doesn't work. Makes me wonder what would happen if there was an issue with the truck. Given the complete lack of customer support, I will not use uhaul again. Fortunately there are other good options these days. BTW online option didn't work either, as did end up trying out of curiosity. And, the initial survey link didn't work saying they was a precessing error, try again later!!



Not sure the exterior of the truck had ever been cleaned. Interior was ok. No-one mentioned that the truck DID NOT have cruise control, for long distances this makes if very hard on the right leg.

They didn't enter my return into the Uhaul system for over a week and said I returned it two days later that I a really did. The attendant just said park the trailer and then left me to do it on my own. Otherwise OK
