I wanted to do a pickup on Sunday evening because that’s when I had it scheduled, but I was not able to. I talked to someone at a different location beforehand to confirm my reservation for that evening and everything seemed to be in check. The woman guided me to the Christiansburg location and I then received a phone call from a different gentleman stating I cannot pickup that evening. The next day another representative calls me saying that I missed my reservation and if I needed to reschedule. I was irritated due to the fact that there was miscommunication between the two rental locations and I had to change my plans to leave the next morning rather than the original scheduled Sunday evening.

The agent at the location was rude and not helpful. He claimed that my reservation had been made using "self pickup". I had to do everything to pick up and return from the internet on my phone ONLY. The site/app wasn't working right on my phone but he refused to help. The pick up process took me almost 45 minutes because he refused to help. The inside of the truck was dirty...had not been swept out. When I returned the truck he again refused to help me get it checked in. The app on my phone wasn't working so I ended up calling a representative at your 800 number who thankfully was able to check the truck back in. Thank you to the agent on the phone who was so helpful. Not only will I never use this location to rent a truck from, I will NEVER even shop at their convenience store or get gas at this location again. And I will be sure to let my friends and family know the same thing. This store/location should not be given business of any kind. If I worked for Uhaul I would send my truck rental business to another location where the clerks are friendly and helpful!!

The woman who ran the register does not know the process for self-checkout. The process ended up taking much longer because she didn't want to hand over the keys even though I showed her my phone which said to get the keys from her. Then she didn't want to let me leave because she didn't like the final page saying I could take the truck. I informed her that I already had the contract and I was charged on my credit card. She finally, reluctantly, let me leave with the truck after she took another 5 minutes to log into her system to check that I was telling her the truth. I did not appreciate that she wasted so much of my time.

We rented a 10" Uhaul truck onlime. The day after , I received a phone message saying I was upgraded to a larger truck at no additional cost and the pick up location had changed , but that was not an issue. When we got to the pick up location I showed my original email confirming the price of $19.95 however I was charged $29.95. We were late picking up the truck and appreciated being able to drop it off the next day by 6:30 am. Something was wrong with the system and it took more then 1/2 hr to get the credit card reader to work. There was a 10" truck availlable and they lady said dhe could not give tp us because it was not what was on the reservation. Again I showed her the reservation and it didnt matter. I would like a $10 credit to my account which is what I booked. Thank You,

Terrible management at this location. The Uhaul manager tried to switch our drop off location that would have taken us 2 hours out of our way in the opposite direction of where we needed to go. Unacceptable. The last thing we need on a 23 hour drive from Texas was added hours to the trip. So now we are charged $25 for dropping it off at the location designated in our contract. WHAT? How can you improve? Refund our money and stick to the original contract.

The lady was extremely rude and took 1 hour to dispatch the truck!!!!!!! Also she told me to return it earlier than what I reserved it for!!! . She tried to put extra costs on my bill thinking I wouldn't catch it. She added extra consumables after repeatedly telling her I don't need them. Also, my online order already indicated that. I will never ever get anything from that location, and I'm dissapointed that Uhaul is offered from there. Please review your vendors as this one doesn't deserve anyone's business.

Manager of the speedy mart yelled at me on my way out of the door in front of many customers and for a long time. Very disappointed that he wasn't even the least bit professional. Will never us uhaul again.

I just wanted to touch base regarding my uhaul experience. I have been using Uhaul for years, and I will continue to in the future. The truck ran fine, no complaints on that. My issue was with the store/individual I rented it from. Three main issues: (1) i purposely checked in online to avoid issues and more importantly to decline insurance. I was literally driving up the road and didn't feel the need for insurance. It's not the $14 extra I had to pay that bugs me the most (even though it does bug me). The issue is when I checked in at the store, the owner was just "clicked through" on his computer when he was setting me up. He didn't read anything. And when I told him about the insurance he said "too bad. Can't be changed. Already clicked through." (2) I called him 45 minutes before I got there to ensure my truck was ready and to check If there was anything I needed before I arrived or any special things. He said no. When I got there, he refused to let me park my car in his gas station lot, which was dead empty. So I had to drive back to my place and wait an extra hour so that I could get a ride and someone to just drop me off.. this wouldn't have been an issue had he just told me, especially when I asked. Instead I lost an hour of moving time in addition to the inconvenience. I feel I at least deserve my $14 back, which is what the insurance cost. I presigned up to avoid this charge and the owner said there was nothing he could do once he clicked it. This was my worst uhaul experience thus far. I will be sure to avoid this gas station and I may write an online review so that others don't go there and deal with the same issues from the sketchy gas station owner! Before renting I called this location with questions about extending my renting time beyond the 24 online limit, as directed online, and I got a confusing answer from the man on the phone. However, when I visited the dealer he gave me clear instructions on how to rent the uhaul for more than 24 hours by calling customer service. If those instructions could be posted more clearly on the website I think it'd really help.

Very friendly customer service. Only recommendation is to have someone available to manage U-Haul rentals while not dealing with normal customers at the same time. Would be much more efficient.

Was a little confused about the return process and was also concerned I didn't get a receipt when dropping off. The guy there said he would email it to me which is cool but I thought "I am trusting this guy to do this after I leave so what happens if he doesn't." I took photos of the trailer parked in his lot as proof just in case. However he did email the receipt so all is well!

Difficult to understand the person I returned vehicle to. Was more concerned about did I park between the white lines. That was the only question he asked. When I asked if he needs anything else he basically waved me away

The attendant was rude, demanding, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. He yelled at me and refused to do an inspection of the truck before we left. He finally 30 minutes later gave in and did the inspection only to lecture us on the drop off policy. Dont appreciate being yelled at, belittled, and made to feel as I am bothering him for doing his job.

When picking up my uhaul, the man running the store misled me to believe I would save money by dropping it off in the adjacent town instead of the same location where I picked it up. Not knowing where else to drop it off, I ended up taking it back to the store I got it from, but he would not accept the key back! He rejected it again the next morning after I had called uhaul and they told me I could return it there. I later found that I saved over $100 by returning it to the same store I got it! That man should be ashamed of his greed and dishonesty!

The location at the convenience store seemed a bit sketchy, BUT the service was excellent. The UHaul cargo van was very easy to drive and emaculate.

The van we rented was very clean. They called to let us know we could pick it up earlier than planned - which really helped with our schedule. Pick-up and drop off were super easy. All in all, a good experience!
