I picked up a van to move my son into his apartment for College. While paying I inquired about a military discount, which I was told they do not offer. Michael Ott was the representative and asked what branch I was in, I replied that my husband was active duty for 27 years. I picked up the van in the afternoon and Michael Ott explained how to return after hours using the link that would be sent to me. He spoke very quickly and I asked him to explain again. He seemed irritated and spoke over me several times when I asked a question. Anyway I left and attempted to return at 11:45pm. The gps was unable to track my location. I have pictures time stamped that my location sharing was on and I sent a pin to a friend due to the late time drop off and I was a single women dropping the vehicle. I called the Uhaul number that says 24/7 and was on hold for 19 mins when a recording came on and said they were having technical difficulties and to try again. I also have record of this call. It is now well past 12am and I'm stuck. The next day I attempted to return the truck again, after speaking to my son who said to park closer to the building and try again. (I originally parked in the spot I picked it up from last night) I pulled up close to the building and tried again while on the phone with my son. I saw a man with his dog in the grass and noticed he was saying something to me, I realized it was Michael from the day before. He yelled “you can't park there” seriously he has the worst people skills. I started to explain my ordeal about last night and he said it's because my location sharing was off. I tried to explain that no I'm very aware on how to use my phone and how scared I was being out stuck in the middle of the night and he replied it was me that 2 others returned with no issue. I ask for his name and he said I could go in the building and get his card. I insisted and he gave it to me as I left. I called and filed a complaint immediately after returning the van. I received a email showing my complaint and was notified by Candice that the Area Field Manager was off but I would hear from him after the weekend. It is Tuesday and I've heard nothing. This is the worst Customer service I've ever encountered. I was hoping to hear from someone by now and have been holding off on my review. I do not recommend this location.
