The check-out time was entirely too long: 55 minutes. I understand that internet issues and website issues are unforeseen. However, a downtime procedure must exist. This, compounded with the attendant's limited English, made for a very difficult check-out. I paid movers for an extra hour to stand around. Not a deal breaker, but far from enjoyable.

1st when called for a alternate location, I requested one closer and was told there were no trucks there. Past the requested location 4 times yesterday, same truck I had sitting there. UHaul app is terrible. 5 picks of front and back of DL. Then I wanted to take pic of the dirty floor in the cab, wouldn't allow. Returning the truck 7 pics of mileage and gas level later, I finally had to go inside. Even the guy inside was confused on why it didn't accept the pic, just kept starting the process over when I uploaded it. All the business that I've done, you want a 2nd contact to make sure I bring the truck back. Have I ever not brought it back? Will re-think about using Uhaul in the future, worst experience every!

I have a review but it does not involve this location specifically but the scheduling department that scheduled a uhaul for me to pick up Sunday at 9am at a closed location. And moving help that never called or showed up. Moving day was a complete disaster!


Pick up was easy and done in a reasonable time. Employee was very courteous and knew exactly what to do

Don't let T&J have a contract. It took forever to get the rental completed. The online deal DID NOT WORK. The lady was asking the same questions over and over. She stopped every time a customer came in to help them. Rental places should not be in gas stations. They don't know your systems. I was late returning the trailer because she held us up so badly. I'm moving again in a few months. Guess I will try Budget or Hertz.

First person at location did NOT know how to use uhaul system. Then the truck assigned had unmarked damage. I asked to have it noted. They did NOT know how to add the damage. They called the "manager". He to was not capable, so they "swapped" trucks. WHen looking at the second truck it was obvious that the damage on BOTH was done at the same time on the site (long scratches at the same height, parked in a row). At that point the manager wanted nothing more to do with me and told me i could take the truck as is or call the 1800 number. The 800 number was great, but i ended up spending over an hour getting everything sorted out. Unacceptable. Uhaul should not allow local locations to be this bad!

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME IN USING T&J CHEVRON, CLEVELAND< GA for Uhaul rentals! We checked in online before arrival so only driver's license was needed. The manager there was more interested in cashing/selling Georgia lottery scratch off tickets than focusing on us! The man buying the lottery tickets was a "regular" and continued to scratch off while the manager catered to him instead of us waiting on the Uhaul trailer. My husband hooked it up by himself, we checked the lights to find the right turn signal did not work. The manager had taken a picture of our dually with the trailer but he seemed very uninterested the trailer light did not work! We were so upset with the manager because he did not seem to really care we were on a time limit! I would definitely consider using someone else as our experience was awful! Maybe we should have bought lottery tickets and he would have paid more attention to us! MAYBE UHAUL NEEDS TO PULL OUT OF THIS STORE AND PUT THEIR RENTALS ELSEWHERE!

I was charged a second late day because the person manning the store did not know how to check in my trailer. I had to wait until her manager came to work at noon; two hours past my check in time. I will not recommend uhaul.

Personnel were very short and unhelpful (almost demanding of where to put equipment and I would have to bring in appliance dolly, furniture dolly and 5 dozen furniture pads) and offered no assistance whatsoever (this after I spent almost $60 in gas refilling the equipment)

I hardly know where to begin. In the first place, we asked U-haul to allow us to pick up our truck at the Old Adams store which is just a short distance from T&J Chevron. We were warned that U-haul may not grant this request, and this was correct. We were told to pick up our truck at T&J Chevron and that the truck would be ready at 8:00 am, which is exactly what we needed. We rushed around and got there bright and early, as we had hired movers who were coming later to help us, and my husband wanted to get an early start preparing the way for them before they arrived. We got to T&J and we were met by a VERY nice young man named Seth, who is the ONLY good thing about that place. He was incredibly kind to us and told us he was not trained on U-haul, so he would have to call his boss, Jan, and she would come in and help us. I had to run some errands, so my husband waited there for her to arrive. When I got back, she informed me that U-haul's computer system was down, but she would need us to take a photo of my husband's driver's license with our phone and email it to U-haul. I told her we do not have a phone that takes good pictures, that we only have an older flip-type phone, and I would try, but I didn't think it would work. She was SO gruff and somewhat hateful about it, but nothing like what happened later on. She said U-haul's computer system was down, but she had called her boss, and he said to go ahead and override the need for the phone photo since the system was down. After her unsuccessfully attempting to connect with U-haul, she said she would call us when the system came up, so we left and went home to wait. It was a HUGE inconvenience to us with all we already had going on. Jan called a while later and told us the computer was back up. I told her I was getting ready to take a shower then be there. She was abrupt on the phone. We got there as quickly as we could, and on our way Seth called to tell us she had already left and would not be back until 2:00!!!! My husband told Seth that this would not work, and we HAD to get the truck ASAP because the movers were coming, etc. Seth called her to come back, and we got there first, and when she walked in, my husband said, "I'm sorry." She was so hateful and wouldn't even acknowledge that my husband was speaking to her! No apology. Nothing. She was SO mad that she had to come back and treated us TERRIBLY. She was so hateful and rude and made us feel so bad when all along NONE of this was our fault. She told me she needed the photo, after telling me earlier that her boss said to override that, and I told her AGAIN about not having a smart phone, etc. She YELLED at me and was just awful acting, and we told her we were about ready to go to Penske and I told her not to yell at me. That made her even madder, and she said, "You should go to Penske! Go ahead Bye!!" Something along that line. We couldn't believe we were being treated like this. It was beyond stressful and

Even though they had just switched to the new uhaul system she made it work and was very sweet and polite. ...side note: although I know this will fall on deaf ears, both locations had just had the new uhaul mandatory systems roll out. Unfortunately like most large corporations the I'm sure only large city test markets were used...that's not your's all of the minor cities and towns that make you so convenient. Believe it or not MANY of these towns are too rural or in mountainous areas and can't connect making your systems a hassle and headache for your customers and these small drop off location employees. Just a thought, think of the big picture. Other than that, it was a pleasure. Best regards

On my first rental this week I was given a broken dolly. On the second rental they didn't have the furniture pads or the dolly. Also if you use this location do a mobile pick up because they aren't actually trained to complete the process in person.

I was asked to take pictures of the gas level and I was asked to bring the blankets inside as well as the other equipment. I finally told your employee that I was his customer. Is what it is. Check in was great check out sucked.


I went to the Uhaul location in Cleveland, GA to pick up the Trailer... got there at 9 am.. left over an hour later because the clerk at store could not figure out how to complete the order because of issues with a new registration process where I was forced to use MY phone to take a picture of my Dr License and send it back to Uhaul in order to rent a Trailer...If you want a copy of my Driver Lic fine make it but dont expect me to have to count on my phone to complete a registration to rent a Uhaul. Extremely frustrated at this point, anyway, I waited for over an hour because of issues in your system with the process. In addition I was expected to complete the order process by using my phone to take a picture of my driver license and attempt to send it to Uhaul. Poor data connection prevented it from working and I should not have to be forced to use my phone to register the Uhaul on my phone anyway when its your companys responsibility to complete the registration. ClerI asked the clerk if there was anyone who could help them and they said on a Saturday morning no less ( the most busy time of the week) s she could not get in touch with anyone at Uhaul because no one is available and they were closed at Corporate offices. Extremely frustrated with your process and if I have another choice next time I will be using another company. For a company that does over a Billion dollars a year not to have fully trained dealers and a seamless rental process is totally unacceptable. Why should I be forced to do your Clerks job in renting YOUR product? Extremely poor management and follow thru on Uhauls part. Only excuse from the clerk was they recently changed their process and that was why they couldn't figure out how to complete the registration...Unbelievable.
