I rented a $20 a day van and turned it in around 7pm (so only under the van for 9 hours) and then I got an email with a bill of over 100 dollars. Called 3 times yesterday and had to leave a voice mail and never received a call back. Terrible customer service.

Poor phone customer service, reservation couldn't be found, took an hour to get trailer picked up, no help to dis-connect trailer upon return. Have used U-Haul before but this is the worst experience.

The only reason I'm not rating it poor is because the staff was very friendly. It took about 40 minutes to get to the counter to get the reserved truck. Then the test link where you have to take a picture of your DL is just weird.

I called in advance after booking online to ask about returning a trailer to a different location. I spoke to Natalie who assured me it was not a problem, but never explained there would be a different price to do so. When my husband went to pick up the trailer, their "system" was down. it took over 30 minutes and they tried to give him an open trailer even though we had reserved an enclosed. They called after he was back to secure payment because they said they didn't have it. Instead of my $14.95 rental I was charged over $150! This is ridiculous and if I had known prior to returning the trailer, I would have had the option of returning it back to the original sight. We NEVER received paperwork except for online after the rental was already taking place! I asked Natalie for a callback but as of today, I have not heard from anyone at the location. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Uhaul called me and changed my pick up location. The location gave me a truck with a broken right mirror, did not have enough moving pads, did not have the furniture dolly and utility dolly I ordered, and could not select the drop off location I had booked online due to not being an actual uhaul location. We were told we could still drop off at the location we originally booked without any problems only to not be able to use the uhaul app to drop off our truck that night. We were on the phone for an hour with uhaul to try to find our reservation and have them change it to our drop off location closest to our house we originally booked. If we had dropped it without calling uhaul you would have charged us $150 which we were not told at the new pick up location.

Rented dozen pads and was provide one sealed pad bundle. Was told it was a dozen, but turned out to be only 6 pads.

Our return time was 12:00pm. However, this location was closed for lunch during that time from 11:30am-12:30pm. We had somewhere to be so I switched to the online check out which was a tad bit complicated due to my phone service but it did eventually work on my husband's phone. There was not a designated key drop off box therefore I just dropped the key off via the mail drop slip in the door that lands on their floor on the inside. I called when they re opened to confirm they got the key which they did. However, a sign would have been helpful because we debated for 5 minutes on whether or not we could or should drop the key off via the door.

I picked up a trailer in College Station that was sitting in mud and water, then I was charge $15.00 cleaning fee when I dropped it off. The only thing that needed to be cleaned was all of the MUD that was all over the trainer when I picked it up. The lady was very helpful and even we t out into the mud to help me get the trailer.

Need a way for a customer to hook up the trailer by himself. The 12'x6' cargo trailer had no tongue jack. The tongue weight is pretty heavy and it is difficult to lift off the ground all the way up to the bumper. Once the tongue is all the way down on the ground, it is very hard to get it up to the bumper.


Stated she could not hook up the trailer for me or she would be liable.

Had 2 people reserved on same equipment. Called to find out if I was coming, I got there and they left till 12 o'clock. I was running behind due to weather. I told them I was on the way. Houston uhaul called and said they would contact the employee to let them I was waiting and never did. The employee was very nice and took care of me then they got there.


I reserved a trailer to tow a car. They didn't see that reservation or have the trailer available

I was shuffled from one location to another because the 1st location rented my reserved trailer to someone else. I declined safe tow on line but it didn't take so I had an extra $40 charge and the young woman at the counter didn't review the contract contents with me. The rollup door didn't work well. There was no one on site to do the hook up. The only person there was a young woman at the counter and she seemed a bit disoriented.

Please note: This U haul location is considered a satellite location and they do not offer any additional services other than providing the rental equipment and to process the paper work. They opened early to accommodate my arrival time on a Sunday morning, this was very helpful and kept my travel schedule on time. I was given a brand new (unprogramed) key and a set of instructions to re-program this new key to the vehicle. With the contract signed and the new key I was on my own to program the key. (Office now closed) I was able to program the new key per instructions, thankfully instruction sheet was all I needed. I found the truck in a very dirty condition (inside the cab and inside the cargo area) I was able to clean the interior of the cab before our trip, and had to vacuum out the cargo area before returning the truck to the return location. Clearly this truck was not cleaned prior to my rental agreement. I hope this helps to understand how disappointed I am with very little ownership at the satellite location. They did what is expected of them but they fell short. When I dropped off the truck I also reported a possible brake fluid leak at the left rear wheel area, and they made note of that and put the truck out of service. The truck was very dependable and we had no other issue's. Thank you for your time. Bob Tomko

We returned the trailer on Saturday 8/10/18. The person working there had locked himself out of the building and was waiting for someone to come and let him in. He assured us that we would check the trailer in ASAP. Today, 8/13/18 we called to make sure it had been checked in as soon as they opened. The person we talked to (Louis) said he would take care of it and call back. It took about two hours for him to call us back, but he did and it was checked in.

I reserved my u hual and when i went to puck it i was informed my rental was moved to another location and i nevee even recived a call or email stating it was moved so i had to go across town to get it. After i arrived to the other location my reservation was not in the systm so had to wait until it showed up aftet i paid the guy didnt even come out to help to hook ip my trailee i had to go inside and tell ask to help me push the 6x12 triler uo a hill out if the road so i could hook it up then after that i had to pick it up and hook it up i had to check the lights ect to see if it was connectrd right . i was told if i returned it and disnt keep it the two days i would recive a discount well when i returned and called the the 1800 number i was told that i could nt get a dicount so i rushed to unload it for no reason i belive that the ppl who work at the college station brances need a lot more traing in coustomer service.. I was very unhappy with college station u haul service . on a diffrent note the employees at the san antonio branch were very well mannerd and even though they had lots of coutsomers they greated us and helped us in a shorter time then the ine in college station who had no customers but was more worried about vaping and his phone . i will not rent from the one on cain road ever again and will not refer them to anyone. It took us 1 hours just to get find it and get it .. Thank you one unhappy customer..p.s i had to also clean it out do to other petsin leaving trash and bags of clothes inside
