I drop the truck off and it was checked in by a staff member. The air conditioner did not work on a ninety degree day and the gentleman noted it on the check-in list and said they would take care of it inside. I went inside, no one was in the lobby except another customer. A worker comes in from a side door, doesn't speak to me or the other customer. He starts printing and announces my last name "Campbell". I tried to hand him my ticket and tell him about the air conditioner. He hands me a receipt that doesn't show any refund, which I was expecting. I asked him why, he said you had a one-way trip. I said I had an in town trip only moving from Westerville to Columbus...using 20 miles. Brian said since I dropped off at a different location, it's a one-way trip. I explained to him that it doesn't say that on the contract and I spent a lot more that way. He tells me there isn't anything he can do about the air conditioning because it's not required to work. He tells me that I've already returned the truck so there wasn't anything he could do about the contract. I told Brian that doesn't make any sense and I didn't know that. He gets frustrated with explaining and he just walks away back out the side door. I believe the store manager, Rick, finished helping the other customer and comes over to politely try to explain the difference with in-town and one-way trip. I thanked him for trying to explain, still said that it didn't make sense and left the store. I'm upset because I was unaware of the difference in the contracts and this has cost me $50...just because I wanted to drop the truck off on a different side of town. Why would I drive back 15 miles to drop a truck off? Why doesn't the contract denote the differences? Why wouldn't U-Haul be willing to adjust the price difference when they see that it was just a misunderstanding in the contract types? When a truck is rented, all functions/amenties are expected to work...it just ok for the air not to work on a 90+ degree day? Moving is already expensive enough and I don't have an extra $50 sitting around. Furthermore, why would the employee be allowed to just walk away? He didn't ask for his manager to assist, give a number to call, he rudely walked away. I did thank Rick for explaining better, but after Brian being so rude from the beginning...it really didn't matter by this time. I've always used U-Haul for my moving needs, but this was by far the worse experience. I've never had a complaint and that your prices have been fair and reasonable. I don't think I should be charged as if I traveled from state to state. I drove 20 miles and only had to replace $7.00 in gas.

Only problem the clerk said truck would be brought around UN a few minutes. No one came with truck. We finally went back in to check told truck was park on the side so we didn't get truck until after 9 had to return at 12.30 we were 15 minutes late because we got truck later then 8.30. Other wise a nice place.

The Hamilton RD Iocation I used the day before was horrific . Waited 45 minutes fir a truck to pick ul a chair at macys across the street. I waited so long for the truck that the docked closed before I could get there. Took the truck right back in 10 minutes and was still charged eventhough I didn't get to use it and still paid a 24 dollar charge. The guys were using just one clerk because another customer was using the phone to get a copy of a receipt. He could have stepped down to the next area since he was just on the phone, the place was packed too...people started walking out....

I RESERVED a truck & utility dolly online. When I came to pick up at my scheduled time I was told there we're no dollys available. Very inconvenient and unreliable.

I wasn't impressed with the experience I had with this uhaul location. First, I made the reservation over the phone and received an email to confirm my reservation stating that I would have the truck for 24 hours. This location closed before 24 hours would have been up so I planned on having it back before 5pm (closing time). I noticed on the contract that it said my drop off time was 4pm. We were running close on time to get the truck back by 4pm, so I called to see if it would be an issue if I was a little past 4. I was told that I would be charged $40 if I was past four evening though my email confirmation said 24 hours and no one was renting that truck after me. Totally unaccomodating as then I had to just put all my stuff in the garage of my house to get the truck back before 4, rather than being able to place boxes in their appropriate rooms. So basically I have to spend time going through them again. Second issue was I saw a sign in the truck saying that if it's not swept out when it's returned there is a $25 fee. No problem as I wouldn't return anything a mess, however when I pulled the ramp out there was sand all over it. So I swept it off because I didn't want to be charged for someone else's mess. I mentioned to the guy when I turned the truck back in that it had sand all down the ramp and showed him a picture. I wanted to let him know in case there was more sand back under the ramp that it was already like that. He ignored me completely and just continued to go through the checkout/paperwork process. Third, not one person that I spoke with or interacted with was friendly or even pretended like they didn't hate their job except for one person. That was the guy on Saturday that was checking trucks in outside. He was very pleasant and helpful. The guy on Sunday checking trucks in was less than pleasant and barely said two words accompanied by a disgusted look. I get that it may not be the most fun job in the world to do what everyone does there, but it seemed like the entire staff (besides the guy outside checking trucks in on Saturday) hated their job and customers. I'm not asking for over the top friendly, but at least be polite. It was a pretty uncomfortable experience and while nothing was wrong with the truck (other than the sand on the ramp) I wouldn't recommend this location to friends or family.

And in doing so I have never had someone be so disrespectful when it came to renting a truck. I am talking of a guy buy the name of Bryan he is very disrespectful and he acts as tho he does not want to be at work. I've had issues in the past with him and the only reason why I have continued to go to this location is because of the relationship I thought I had with the store manager. And also the wonderful young man named Shawn. Bryan on the other hand when I came in the store acted like he did not want to rent a truck to myself. He said the reason he felt that way is because I had went to his boss and complained about him behind his back. So he more so tried to intimidate me and my family I was with and said I don't have to rent to someone who talks behind my back and proceeded to tell me next Time to tell him to his face. I said that is not protocol I refuse to do business with anyone who has an attitude about work. This is your career if you don't want to work here quit or uhaul let him go because people like Bryan will destroy your business and your reputation. Sincerely long term repeat customer...

Uhualdidnt as a whole make my moving experience less stressful they added to the stress. If I have a better choice later on I will use it. But if I'm force to I will go back. Only con is uhaul didnt make the trip any less stressful.

Reserved the small Cargo Van a few days before I needed it to transport a festival booth and goods. Completely easy process; courteous staff; nice van. Will come back every year for the same event - highly recommended. Not one negative thing to say - Nice job all!!

Our reservation included 2 flat furniture dollies. We didn't get any, they said none were available. It was my son and myself moving and having no dollies was very difficult for me. I'm 55 and having some back pain now from like lifting and carrying do much.

The appliance 2-wheeler showed great wear especially on the belts (on the back of the device) used for smoothly climbing or descending steps. Additionally, the bear for the belts have been neglected as well as they did not roll easily.

There was not enough space to drop of the uhaul when I came after hours. The parking lot was completely full. Also, I think it's ridiculous to only allow the exact amount of miles from one uhaul location to another. I obviously have to pack it and unpack it which means driving it to my old house. And on the other end, I have to drive it from the new house to the uhaul center. Completely ridiculous!!!!
