I reserved a trailer for a certain date and time, when I was going to pick this trailer up, the manager called me to let me know that it wasn't there. This is after the fact that he called me to confirm that I was coming in to get the trailer. So, he lost the trailer? I'm not sure. But I was told and I quote "Sorry, I don't know what to tell you." So it was then up to me to call other uhaul locations and find myself a trailer even though I had reserved this one 2 weeks in advance because this guy lost it. I had to call in late to work and miss four hours of pay because of this mistake. I was very dissapointed in the Uhaul locations professionalism and attitude. I would not recommend them to anyone.

The general Mgr, at 1201 N Chaparral Corpus Christi, TX, was world class in making our experience hassle free and pleasant. Lionel not only drove to another location the night before to pick up the tow dolly we needed for our 8AM pick-up, but took time to answer all of our questions and review the tow dolly do's and don'ts. Cu-do's! There is nothing he, or the location, do have done any better.

Very easy to setup reservation and online Check in service was great. The van was just what we needed, clean and comfortable plus got excellent gas mileage for its size. Drop off after hours was very easy. Will use them again in the future and I would highly recommend this location.



Lionel was fantastic. Very helpful. Very professional. I was not very happy with the other issues. Uhaul staff at the Rodd Field and Port Ave locations couldn't help when I was told my equipment would be arriving or it was already there. This policy of making a reservation for equipment and being told it should be there but isn't because the person who has it hasn't returned it or didn't return it to the right location is unprofessional; especially when a customer (me) travels from New Orleans and is on a time table for departure and is told by staff that the equipment might not show up. I have used Uhaul many times and this was the worse time. I will still continue to use Uhaul but I was very surprised by this event.

Trailer lights were jerry-rigged back together; they cut off multiple times randomly throughout the trip. Also, trailer wasn't tightened to my hitch before I left the dealer location. I could pull it cleanly off with no resistance.

Unfortunately, my pick up location changed and I wasn't notified. I did receive a call verifying that I planned to rent the equipment, but I had to drive to a second location to get the trailer. Not a huge issue now, but at the time I wasn't happy.

U-Haul Representative Lionel Cisneros from the 1201 N Chaparral location in CC TX location went above and beyond to make my reservation on a cargo trailer possible. He made a personal call back to my work # to let me know that a trailer had come in, after I had previously found out that one was not available. I was elated that he remembered my call and that he went the "extra-mile" to call me back! His customer service at the U-Haul facility had already been great from previous rentals I make but this one topped them all! An excellent employee and U-Haul is fortunate to have someone like Lionel working for them.

The over-the-phone rental process was really bad. I got transferred all over the Corpus Christi area, each time being told "The next location has the truck you need." When I called the next place they had no idea what I was talking about and directed me to another location. This happened about five times before I finally found the size truck I needed.

I rented a van on 1/13/2017. I was told all I needed to do was put the keys in the drop box at 8pm. I turned in the van at 8:10pm on 1/13/2017. An employee who was leaving saw me return the van and there should be cameras on the property that recorded me returning the van. The day after I turned in the van, Saturday 1/14/17, I noticed a charge on my bank account for $37.28. On Sunday 1/15/17 I checked my bank account and noticed another charge for $38 from U-Haul. I called the location where I rented the van and the employee who answered the phone was extremely rude and lacked basic phone etiquette skills. She had a bad attitude and she was difficult to work with. She gave me a number to call because she couldn't/wouldn't help me figure out a solution to my problem. I called the number and the next employee I spoke with was very helpful and listened to what I had to say and she documented it. She said it would take about three days for U-Haul to call me back with a solution. I shouldn't be charged for two extra days of use because the van is sitting in the property parking lot and it has been since 8:10 pm Friday 1/13/17. The invoice claims the van was turned in on Sunday at 8:03am. That isn't possible because I woke up at 10 am and that's when I checked my bank account. I'm more than upset about this incident and if this issue isn't resolved I will remove my stuff from the storage unit and rent one from someone else. I would not recommend vehicle rentals from uhual and hope that this issue can be resolved as soon as possible.
