Through no fault of my own. I was held up by an accident on I-65 going to Bowling Green, KY The road was blocked for over three hours because of a tractor-trailer that caught on fire. There was a lot of clean-up before they opened up the interstate. We were on our way back to the lot and my wife called the owner and told him what had happened and that we were running a little behind. He said OK bring it on in. The wreck could be verified by watching the news report. We got back to the U-Haul dealer at 5:13 pm Friday evening and dropped the trailer off. The next morning I had to deliver a motor home to Florida. The invoice that I received in my email said that the trailer had been turned in at 8:43 am on Saturday morning. By that time I was going through Nashville TN. I got back in the other night and went by the U-Haul store yesterday and the gentleman told me that the trailer was not there when he left the night before. Maybe not, but it was there the next morning when he came in and unlocked the gate. Anyway he said that there was nothing that he could do about it because it was not there on time. I realize that but some things are unavoidable such as the wreck that we encountered. If the trailer had been rented by someone to pick up that evening I understand that but it was not. I will need to rent a trailer in the near future and will look for another company to rent from.

The accelarator stuck at times and made it difficult to drive. This could have been very dangerous.
I ordered moving pads which were really needed. They were not in the truck and the place was closed. The cab had been heavily smoked in so it was hard for my breathing condition. Also, the windshield was so covered in smashed bugs it was difficult to see through it.
Make a better way to drop off trailer after hours or on Sunday.
The owner/manager at this location was extremely every time I spoke to him. I called him the morning of my rental to ask a couple questions, and he acted like all of my questions were stupid and I was interrupting his time. When I came in the store later to pick up my rental, he talked down to me the entire time and was the most unpleasant customer service person I have ever been in contact with.

I picked up the 20' truck and the inside smelled badly of cigarette smoke. The gas tank was just above a 1/4 tank so I had to pretty much fill up immediately. The back of the truck was not swept out for me, there was hair, dirt and even socks left over from previous users. The trucks side skirt was SEVERELY damaged but did not show that in the photos of the truck when you sign the rental agreement. I didn't care about that too much because I got the highest insurance so I knew I wouldn't be charged for it but the photos of the truck did not show anything close to the true condition of itself. So beware of that and take your time when looking over the vehicle if you rent. Also I was charged an additional $5 and some change for gas even though I brought it back and the exact same amount. Whatever it wasn't worth causing a fuss about, it was just annoying to see.

The man behind the counter gave away a customer's 10-foot truck to someone else and then yelled At him when he came in to pick up the truck that he had confirmed online. I won't be renting from this location again due to the behavior of the employee and the uncertainty of whether or not my rental will be available.
The equipment was in good working condition. The actual building was in very bad shape. As a customer first impressions set the tone and walking into the building makes you feel like there is a lack of care.
