This was a disaster! I am waiting for a call back. Filed an objective statement and have heard anything about being compensated for all the trouble we had. Dillsboro location was good, but talking with Custer service trying to get this straightened out was horrible. PLEASE CALL !!

Upon entering the location, I was sent to the back of the building to speak to someone who was in a meeting. After waiting, I was sent by that person to someone else again at the front of the building (the only person authorized to accept a return) - this person had watched me enter the store, move to the back, and return to the front without once offering their services. I then waited for 15 minutes while they attended to other tasks, during which they processed my return. I was then told to unhook my rental and leave it somewhere near the other rentals - no inspection was done, no assistance in parking or unhooking my trailer was offered.

Already set up rental online. Stood in there the store for 25 minutes while the clerk made 3 phone calls and tried to get someone to tell him how to accomplish the task. Wasted my time! Same when I dropped it off. I'd rather carry my stuff on my back than rent from there ever again. You folks should look at whom you have putting a face to your brand! Piss poor.

Our pick up location was changed to somewhere over 30 minutes out of our way. When I called and tried to get them to move it somewhere closer I was told thats not how it works and I have to pick it up wherever they say. The man at the IGA in Dillsboro, IN (our pick up location) had no idea what he was doing. First we had to wait for him to show up for over 30 minutes. He gets there and not only could we not understand a word he was saying but he couldn't understand us. Then he changed our drop off location without asking us. We were moving my mother out of Indiana to Ohio and he moved our drop off location back to his store. Trying to get it moved back to a location near my Moms new place was ridiculous. I sat on hold for 30 minutes. The only bright spot in this whole ordeal was Larry at Stowaway Storage and U-haul in Amelia. He was amazing and helped us. I will never rent a u-haul again. I would rather pay more and get better customer service.

Make sure the trucks clean and when someone picks a location the truck should be there and not at another location 20 to 30 minutes away. Also maintenance trucks better. Had a service light come on about an hr from my drop off location.

The pick-up place was fine. I spoke to a reservation mgr on Aug, 10th. Approximately noon I called to confirm my reservation . That id when the operator said I needed to speak to a reservation mgr. (This was all being taped by you and was duly noted.) The service mgr got on the phone and bluntly stated that I was not table to pick the trailer up at the designated location. I asked what was the problem. Again rudely he tells me this location does not even have open trailers. I try to explain to him the UHAUL website let me order the specific trailer there. He then argumentatively tells me this is only a preferred pick up location.. I tell him the website does not say that and does not suggest that. He was the most rude, non empathetic person I have ever encountered. If this is a person that you chose to represent the company, I understand why a friend said that his experience was unsatisfactory. If he would have been calm from the start and communicated to me that the trailer was not available and I would have to go approx. 20 miles to get one. I would have in turn more understanding. BUT that was not the situation. I asked if there was any way to drop the trailer at the original location. Once again he took on the attitude as if my business did not matter to him. He displayed this attitude in his tone and aggressive terms. I hope something will come from this. I would like to hear something from your company. Otherwise, this is falling on death ears. And if so , this is why people do not fill out these surveys. Thanks, Chris Lonneman

Pick up was very difficult. I reserved the truck and preregistered. My husband was listed as the driver but he was not able to pick the truck up. Had to make 2 trips to get it.

Uhaul’s website wasn’t working properly so the lady at the store had to call a uhaul manager and he processed the rental remotely. Because she was all by herself, she was not able to come out and review the condition of the trailer. However I took several pictures in case I got blamed from any existing dents upon return of the trailer. It was not the smoothest rental process but I understand the clerk was all alone at the store and the uhaul’s website wasn’t working properly, I have been to this location several times and i like it. Trailer was in good overall condition, however the chains looked like could be replaced.
