I rented the U-Haul over a week prior at the Hwy 5 location in Douglasville, GA. The day before the rental pick-up I was called and informed that the Hwy 5 location did not have a one-way available. They referred me to another location on Fairburn Rd, Douglasville. The appoint time for pickup was 10am - No one was there when I arrived. I was then transferred to the Texaco location. Even though the Texaco location was not at fault for the chaos - the vehicle was filthy. The service person didn't even help me get the appliance dolly to the truck - to include not even holding the door to the establishment open so I could get the dolly out! U-Haul in general - horrible experience, no customer responsiveness or support. I was the one left running around trying to pick a vehicle that I ordered well ahead of time.

The one thing and there is no place else to leave this comment concerns phone calls/online contact to customer service. The people we talked to were excellent *****, the wait times to get to them totally unacceptable. You need to hire more customer service representatives. Hours on hold for simple things that cannot be handled by an automated service directory is totally unprofessional.

OH MY GOD! THIS SITUATION WAS EVEN WORST!!!!!!!! I DON'T EVEN SEE WHY THERE IS A UHAUL. U PEOPLE MIGHT AS WELL JUST PUT TRUCKS ON THE STREET AND ALLOW THE PEOPLE TO PUT MONEY IN A MACHINE AND GUESS WHAT IS NEEDED FOR PICK UP AND RETURNS. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY UHAUL HAVE IN PLACE. THE PEOPLE WHO U ALL ALLOW TO RUN YOUR BUSINESSES ARE NOT KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR PRODUCTS AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH ANYTHING FROM ANSWERING GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT RETURNS TO RECEIVING DROP OFFS! THIS EXPERIENCE WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH UHAUL OR ANY OTHER COMPANY. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH YOUR STAFF. I WAS DENIED A DROP OFF AT THE DROP OFF LOCATION BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO BACK THE TRAILER UP INTO A SMALL SPOT AT THE GAS STATION. THIS WAS HORRIFIC AND ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT IS BEING CHARGED ADDITIONAL MONEY WHEN I WAS CLEARLY IN THE LOCATION. THIS SITUATION HURT MY HEART. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HELPING THE CUSTOMER. I DON'T KNOW YOUR PRODUCTS, BUT THE PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT TO DO OR THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP THE CUSTOMER. I JUST DON'T GET IT! I AM GOING TO LEAVE IT THERE. U HAUL IS A PIECE OF WORK AND YOU ALL REALLY SHOULD BE A SHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!!!!~ THIS SITUATION IS SO SAD AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO UTILIZE YOUR SERVICES. When we arrived, the location did not know how to check us in and we had to call UHaul and spent 30 minutes on the phone before we were able to leave with the truck. The same thing happened when we turned the truck in; another 30-45 minutes spent at the gas station before we could leave. Uhaul made some errors as well and changed my pick up location several times and then changed my reservation from in town to one way so they had to correct that as well when we turned the truck in. The truck itself was fine and the pricing was accurate once everything was corrected.

I was charged for not returning the vehicle on time when I actually returned it early. I had to wait almost 30 min before being checked in because the service representative was aware of how to work the system. I was charged for more miles than was actually driven. When I was returning the vehicle the sales person told me to put the keys in the drop box he doesn’t handle that even though it was still during business hours

made My online reservation for one location. Received a call that they did not have my truck and got moved to a new pickup location. Told that I could pick up my truck anytime before ten pm. Arrived at 730 pm and was told the uhaoguy had left sorry. Called Uhaul and was told my reservation had been cancelled. Uhaul customer service was great. She sent me back to the Texaco and got on the phone with the gas station attendant and convinced him to let me have the keys. He did begrudgingly. Truck was dirty inside the cab and inside the back. Broken mirror. Bent bumper. Used the truck. Returned it after the quote Uhaul guy was gone. I had the truck 25 hours and there were more trucks on the lot when I returned it. Charged me for TWO days? Seriously? After all the trouble I had getting this dirty truck. Never again.
