The vehicle Transport Trailer was defective. The straps that grip the front wheels came off my front wheels of the vehicle I was towing 6 times. I had to stop often to tighten them. The ratchet mechanism was faulty. When I got to my destination I told the person who checked me in on Monday, 12-30-19, about my experience and asked for a portion of my money back from the Transport Rental he said U-Haul had screwed others worse than that. Have more equipment readily on hand, the right equipment on hand. I had ordered a heavy duty furniture /Appliance dolly , got the confirmation email, and when I picked up the truck, there was no dolly. Had to wait for the location to open to find out all they had was a regular light two wheeler. The truck had a horrible screeching to it like a air gap/blower motor issue, and the transmission was slipping and I had to turn around and swap the truck back in,,,Ended up losing almost 2.5 hours all over just dealing with the issues. For whatever reason the website was also refusing my method of payment after numerous attempts of re-entering the information. The pick up location and the shop location being in two totally different areas is ANOTHER big waste of time. Go here to check in, go there to view the truck, go back to get the key, go back to the truck location. Very inconvenient and major waste of time. The first time I rented a couple weeks ago was just as bad , and I thought that was a fluke....but two times back to back ? Really?Jimmie B.

The actual shop did not have the truck, once I started the online process. The unit was located several blocks away in a gravel area that could only be accessed by jumping a curb that had a couple 12' x2â€x4â€'s with visible nails in the boards. Once I surveyed the truck for damage, I then had to go retrieve the key back several blocks away at the original address then go check the truck to record mileage and fuel which was several blocks away. This was very cumbersome considering at the very least, the unit could've been staged in the street directly in front of the storage place as were a couple other trucks .jim B.
