Customer Service non existent. The person who processed the order was rude and I felt like I was inconveniencing him by my presence. (not like he appeared to have anything else to do, I was the only person there). Upon returning the trailer, I couldn't find him and just disconnected the trailer myself and left.

I called first then I went in to rent a truck. The place is a car repair/u haul rental. When I got there, no one was around and there was a note that said “I’m in the Gelato Factory call this #” So I called the number and the owner answered. I told him I was there to rent a truck. He said “you didn’t make an appointment” then he hung up. It was so unbelievable, I had to laugh. Then he came out and mumbled his way through the rental. Weirdest, grumpiest guy I’ve ever met. It’s a mess of a store and car repair place with a gelato ?? making place in the back!!!!

Customer service is a foreign word



I had to pickup at this location after finding out the location I was scheduled to pick up at 9am from wouldn't be open until 2pm. This added over 50miles just to pick up the truck. Upon Receiving the truck it was logged as having 1/4 tank of gas but it was much lower. The truck was extremely dirty, inside and out. The interior of the truck was very, very rattly. The dashboard and driver door rattled constantly and drove me crazy. The driver side visor wouldn't stay up, constantly falling down in my view. All of the boards in the cargo area were missing or had broken bolts that hold them to the walls, making it difficult to properly secure my cargo without causing damage to the truck. While in the Southern California desert, where there was no cell service, the improperly installed radiator ruptured on the driver side. Lucky for me I am a mechanic and was able to patch the radiator myself. Two days later the truck developed a random dieing problem. While under load the engine would die. Once we coasted to the side of the road the engine would restart and be fine for some time. This problem got worse until we could only move a few miles at a time. We called the road side assistance In Yucca valley and got a new truck.

The owner/Manager treat me like a second class citizen the moment I walked in. He criticized my parking outside his establishment, corrected my English, and talked down to me when I picked up the vehicle and also when I returned it. This is one of very few times in my life I felt I was being discriminated against due to my accent and look. Never ever any one had made me feel this way. I could tell in his voice, the way he talked to me,looked at me and completely dismissed my questions. For example I asked him what time do you close he said when I get tired and go home. I asked him how much the total charge was after I returned the vehicle he said I will email you. I told him it was only 3oclock and he did not close til 6 and why he could not tell me how much my bill was and he said I closed long time ago. It was only 3 o’clock. I also asked him if he had any cars when I first got there to rent and he said no. After I pointed out 3 cars on the lot with uhaul logo he said they are called trucks not cars. I feel so so bad after my interaction with him.

The gentleman who I talked with the day before to confirm my reservation and with whom I checked in and picked up the trailer, was the most miserable, negative and unfriendly person I’ve encountered in years. He made me feel that I was completely interrupting him and wasting his time. I initially thought I was being “punked”, like on that old TV show, but unfortunately it was real. Not someone I’d want representing my product.

The dealer is very rude and not helpful. Very Poor customer service. Doesnt want to answer questions. Maybe because of my color, because I'm an asian. He only cater white people!!!! Well not recommend this location.

The location and help was great. U-Haul on the other hand was terrible. I reserved a truck online at a location that no longer rents u haul trucks and were not even open on a Saturday. No notification from U-Haul about a location pick-up change and no one answered the call I made to U-Haul Customer Service. I had to figure out myself, with a call to another location, where I was supposed to pick up the truck. I also had to pay an extra fee at the storage place because one of their employees had to wait an extra hour for us to show up. Maybe U-Haul needs to update their online reservation system to exclude places that are no longer associated with them.

The owner of the location was helpful but a grumpy man picking it up and dropping it off. I was early picking it up and he asked me to go ahead and hook up the trailer, he didn't like the way I was doing it and grumpily took it over. When dropping it off I was late and he exclaimed don't you guys ever go home very angrily and unhooked the trailer very upset and told us to get out of here. I told him thank you and Left.

The bald man was completely agitated, I felt as if I was interrupting his day. Certainly not a good experience. This is after I went on line to rent a 6x12 trailer for which I was sent to a location in Orangevale only to be told my vehicle won't tow that trailer. By yet another operator who was simply rude. All in all a TERRIBLE representation of U-haul.
