Very poor customer service. Especially when returning the truck. When I called to extended the rental for another day. the guy said "keep the damn truck if you want" and hung up. Will never rent from this franchise again. The truck A/C was barely cool air on a 100 degree day.

I have rented vehicles from U-Haul on numerous occasions but after this occasion, I will be hesitant to do so in the future. Although the pickup truck was almost new, in great condition, and operated flawlessly, my U-Haul rental was an extremely unpleasant experience. Although the office and vehicle storage area was third rate at best, to me that didn't have any bearing on the vehicle quality and as such, it didn't have any negative effect on me. What I found appalling and what has left me with a bad taste in my mouth, is the rude and surly behavior of the man (I would never describe him as a gentleman) that rented me the truck. Describing him as unfriendly (almost unapproachable) is an understatement. There was no greeting, let alone a friendly greeting, when I stood in front of him to pick up the truck I had reserved online. Instead, he simply uttered a terse "What do you need?" His impolite behavior immediately put me on the defensive and desire to reciprocate in kind. Had I had the time, I would have walked away and gone elsewhere for my rental truck. After his rude initial contact with me, he griped about his computer, tersely told me about the gas level and handed me the estimated receipt and keys. I told him that I wasn't traveling far and only needed the truck for about four hours. He told me to put the keys in the drop box upon my return, if he was out of the office. Again nothing friendly was uttered from his mouth and he didn't even mention the location of the truck (although I later saw that there was only one pickup truck on site). The parking spaces in his lot were about half full, and I asked him if I could leave my vehicle in the lot until I returned the truck later in the afternoon. He said no and that I would have to park it on the street. I thought his response was inconsiderate, but I accepted it thinking he must think that all his rental vehicles would be coming back between 12:30 and 4:30pm. When I did return the pickup, I did see that every empty parking space was still empty. Upon my return, I parked the truck in one of several empty parking spaces in front of the office. As I stood in front of his office, I talked with my wife, asking her to go to our car on the street. The U-Haul representative came out of his office, walked right at me with his hand extended, and never said a word; not "how did it go?", "did everything go okay?", nope nothing! I handed him the keys, and he proceeded to hurriedly move the truck into another space facing the street. I stood there waiting for the almost mute man to say something to me, but instead he simply walked straight into his office without uttering a word. Wow and at this point in time, I thought to myself what an unfriendly asshole jerk. I went to his empty office and walked up to him behind his counter, again waiting for some type of acknowledgement from him. After about a minute, he simply said "what do you need? I'm done with you." Although I wanted a

This is my 2nd visit to this location. I a regional manager for a local auto repair company and I rent trailers to move large tool boxes around. Last year I rented from the same location and person. He is an older gentleman. He asked where I worked and he starts talking badly about my company and how many vehicles he had to fix after they were at my shops. I didn't say a word. Now I am at this same location on Tuesday. I walk in and says "why did you park in front of that trailer, that is too big, you need another one": I said ok. Then he starts talking under his breath about all the responses to his questions. As he started talking rudely, I just blocked it out. But after I left, I was so pissed, I almost returned. When I returned the trailer, I backed it up in the same spot. This gentleman never came out to help remove the trailer from my truck. When I walked in, I asked for a receipt. He mumbled something, I said "excuse me" ? He said "I emailed it as soon as I saw you drive into the driveway". So he did see me pull up, I wonder why he didn't come out and help with the trailer? This guy has no business representing your company, and I cant be the only one that has complained about him. MY wife and I are moving to Phoenix in two weeks and will need a truck. Not from Uhaul. The gentleman I dealt with was extremely rude. He spoke where I could barely hear him and when I asked "excuse me, I didnt catch that" he seemed to get agitated. Not to mention when I returned the truck the associate did not look at the truck, confirm fuel or milage. He said I would be charged for what I used. I was given no receipt. Uhaul still has a hold for the amount at time of rental even though I used only half of the estimated milage. I will never use this location again nor recommend it to anyone!!!!!

The employee Paul needs a severe intervention. He lacks patience, understanding, and decency. I had read the poor reviews regarding this employee before returning the truck so I decided to use the mobile phone app to avoid dealing with Paul. Unfortunately, Paul felt the need for me to just turn over the keys and leave. I told him I would be more comfortable finishing the online procedure, but that didn't go well with him. Immediately, he started berating me and told me that I didn't know what I was doing and then walked away. I would have been shocked at this, but I was forewarned by online reviews. I cannot believe Uhaul would continue employing such an individual. Not only does he dislike his job, he is just an indecent individual with a grudge on life. No amount of training will change this attitude. Extremely disappointed that Uhaul would continue to employ him.

He took great offense that I spelled my last name for him, he said,”you must think I’m stupid if I don’t know how to spell your last name”, then I had to explain why I spelled my last name to him. A lot of people spell my last name wrong. I will NEVER use this location again and honestly, will use a different company for my next move or in need of these types of vehicles!

Don't talk on the phone when you're giving instructions to the customer. Tell the customer to only fill it up to five eighths of a tank where it began don't tell them to just fill it up because that cost me $60. Plus the rental. Tell the people to fill it back up to where the needle was when you rented it. And don't be such a grouch about it.

We needed a 10 foot truck at the last minute and this location had one which was going out the next day. We were able to rent it on the promise that we would have it back clean and full within hours and we did!! The truck was just right for our needs and did we ever need it!! Many thanks to U-Haul and this location. I have not been disappointed with U-Haul in the times I have used it and I will use it again. So, don't know how you can improve on that.
