When i picked up the trailer the back was very hard to shut he had to take a hammer to lick the handle , there was another trailer the same 6x12 in is yard i wanted to take that one cause it seemed in better shape but he didn't want to . So when i brought back the trailer i hade to keep the door open it wouldn't shut . At lees it did shut whit aLot of work whe. I had my stuff in it.

I had ordered moving blankets, they did not have the right number ordered, they were all over the garage and in the garage's bathroom, they were wet and not folded. The attendant did not even have the courtesy to help putting them in the truck.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss directly with a corporate member of U-Hall Corporation my concerns about the proprietor of the U-Hall pick-up location (Gatineau Quebec)....the manager of the service station was extremely rude and combative....had I not really needed to have the U-Hall truck that day, I would have cancelled my reservation and sought a new one with another rental agency.
Staff who served me could not speak French (mandatory in QuÃ©bec). Gas tank was empty and no one explain how gas usage worked. I was charge way to much for gas. Some clothing from a previous rental was still in the truck so I know it was not cleaned before I took the truck. Will never rent again at this location (even from U-Haul)
Le responsable pour U-Haul n'Ã©tait pas prÃ©sent lors du dÃ©pÃ´t de camion. Le garage Ã©tait toujours ouvert, mais la personne au comptoir ne se prÃ©occupait du retour. Il a simplement dit de dÃ©placer le camion, car ce n'Ã©tait pas le stationnement pour les retours. J'ai dÃ©placÃ© le camion dans le mÃªme stationnement, mais Un peu Ã l'Ã©cart. Aucun panneau indiquant stationnement pour garage versus stationnement pour retour de camions.
The location was 40 minutes late getting my pickup ready, and upon returning it, had me move it twice. After I had already returned the keys to the man inside, staff was rude insisting I must move it
When I dropped the equipment. I was charged a cleaning fee. The equipment was as clean as when I piched it up. I had to pay a cleaning fee when I dropped it
I ordered blankets online but when I arrived I was told that this location didn't have any. When the guy tried to remove them from my invoice, I was still charged $1 for no blankets. Then when I received my invoice the next day, I was charged for 2 days of rental instead of just one.
I was overcharged, 15 dollars coverage and 10 dollars for a dolly that I didn't get. I'm asking for 25 dollars refund. It's not fair.

Contract no. 24246874 I reserved a truck at this location because it was the closest to our apartment. I simply needed one for 4 hours in order to pick up a couch, a cabinet and a few things from a family member not far away who was getting rid of them. I reserved it for 10am, the person in charge of the U-Haul portion of their business arrived late so we officially got the keys at around 10:20am or so. I simply did 10 miles, brought it back with a full tank and dropped the keys off at exactly 2pm. The same person from the morning told me to simply leave the keys on the counter which I found odd because he did not take the time to check anything with me after I returned it. Looking at my receipt that I received via email many hours later, I see that I was charged double because it indicates that I checked out the truck at 5:56pm which just so happens to be after this mechanic's closing hours (5pm Saturday). I sent two emails to the address indicated to contact in the email containing the receipt 849004_AFM@uhaul.com and never got a reply. Filed a complaint via U-Haul website and received a brief apology email and a partial refund of $50.79 which, when i try to do the math, does not seem to fully cover the overcharge by a few dollars... but I'm fed up with this now, at least most of the overcharge will be refunded. The truck was in decent shape and served me well. This is the first time I have a bad experience with U-Haul and it is solely due to that specific location. I will continue to use your services, just not at this location as I do not trust it. Thank you
The mechanic didn't seem to know what he was doing exactly. He didn't even check the hitch. We had rented a trailer before so we knew how to do it, but he didn't really offer to do it unless we didn't know how. He also took a lot of time before serving us when I got there. the location also isn't the easiest place to manoeuvre around. The mechanic was friendly but it wouldn't be very welcoming for someone who is new at renting a truck or trailer.
It has been my second lease and at every occasion the pickup were terrible, price were different from the booking price. Employee had no capability to fix the situation.

Didn't have the blankets I rented. Was very scared about covid19, said " go find the key yourself in the back of the truck".He obviously doesn't mind giving covid 19 because he offered filthy stained used blankets out of the garage to us since he couldn't provide the rented blankets... I declined.
Follow the correct process and don't charge astronomically for things I didn't agree to or for things that didn't even happen!!!!

Really really bad client service. Had to wait over an hour for the truck. Person at the counter was passing on information to his boss over his personal cell phone. His boss was processing the order from his home computer. Really felt uncomfortable when he took picture of my license on his personal cell phone and texted it to his boss. Really convoluted process. Truck was really muddy in the cab and in the back. They did not even scrape any of the ice in the windshield as they did not have any show cleaning brush. So the attendant just poured water on the windshield to melt the ice. How dumb is that when it is below freezing temperature outside? Another client who was there before me also mentioned that he was waiting over an hour. I am already having second thoughts about renting from U-haul if this is the service level I can expect.
Worst truck rental experience I've ever had. I specified 1 location with mobile pickup and less than 24 hours before, that location was changed, time was now 1 hour later and no mobile. Not to mention I received a dirty truck and now I'M being charged a $25 cleaning fee?? I will rent from anywhere else EXCEPT Uhaul next time, as will the friends that waited around that extra hour to help me and all of my followers on social media. For a company based on logistics, Uhaul did a horrible job this time around.
The worst experience that I had with Uhault. The person at the garage told that he was busy working and that I had to wait until he is done !?! The Uhault was dirty with garbage in it, and I had ordered blankets and they were none. Really the worst customer service that I experienced in a long time.
Checkin took over 30 minutes. I had to move a uhaul truck myself just to access the trailer. Staff was not helpful in connecting trailer or assisting with rental.
I am extremely disappointed. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the truck that I had reserved was not on location when I got there at the agreed upon time. I asked to get another truck for the same price but the representative refused and charged me a higher price for the replacement vehicle. When I called U-Haul at the 1-800 number later to complain, they contacted the location and the representative LIED (!) and said that he had contacted me by phone before the pickup time to let me know that my truck was not available. This is untrue and my phone shows no record that day of a call from the location, so I have proof. The replacement truck was dirty and I ended up having to pay more, despite having done everything correctly as a client. My recommendation to UHaul is to take this location off your list of suppliers, as this garage will give you a bad reputation.
Hello, The gas was almost empty, which was not a big deal but just not convenient. The part that really bothered me is the guy who I returned the truck to. When I returned the truck, he was busy and told me to leave the truck without him inspecting the truck for milage and gas. After I got my receipt from U-hall I found out that he had charged me for two days. I had to call customer service and explain to them what had happened and thank god I asked him for a receipt to prove that I returned the truck which he was denying to give in the first place. I am just saying bad represented of U-hall company can easily destroy companies reputation. Thanks, Maryam
