Because I was renting for a one-way trip and wanting to store my things at my destination, I was told to call the 800 number to arrange everything. The employee told me I would qualify for free storage for the first month if I did that. I was NOT advised that the free storage unit would be closet-sized, which was totally inadequate for my needs.

Drop off was difficult because it was Thanksgiving and the lot was packed with equipment others had dropped off as well since no one was there to manage it (understandably). The crew there seemed very helpful on the phone though.

Your website needs to state clearly in bold all caps that economy tickets are not refundable! Hiding this info in the small print in the long-drawn-out customer terms and conditions is not fair and is POOR, lousy business practice! Some customers are elderly with poor eyesight and have a hard time reading through your long drawn-out customer conditions. It needs to be very clear which tickets are non-refundable! I am a customer on a very low fixed income who has bought many Greyhound tickets over the years for my son to travel. This time I was charged an extra $18 for buying a gift ticket! This ticket was not a gift- I was moving and my son's car broke down in and I needed to get him here to help me! It was not a luxurious gift type of deal!! Also when he got to the station at 8 a.m. there was a problem with the computer system or a bus or something and he had to switch to a different bus 2 X which delayed his arrival to help me for 6 hours! In the meantime I was paying for a U-Haul that I could not use without his help!!!! After he arrived I decided to let him use my second car to drive back home and called to get a refund on his return ticket - that's when I had the very unpleasant experience of learning it was non-refundable. Greyhound thinks they have a monopoly on bus transportation! Well you do not! Next time we will use Amtrak since I have to go to right by the AMTRAK to pick him up and drop him off anyway! Greyhound lost a good customer!!! And in closing your customer service Representatives and supervisors need to know exactly where to tell people to look up the policies about refunds. I was looking online as she was directing me and she obviously did not know where to look. That's piss poor and pathetic customer service! Good bye and good riddance!

I've rented U-Haul trucks dozens of times, this is the only location that ever billed me for cleaning... despite the fact that I received the truck with a big mess (trash and spilled beverages in the interior), physically cleaned the truck myself the best that I could, and I called U-Haul to verify that I received the truck with the mess, and they had noted it on the account.
