1. The drop off facility was a Tobacco store and had an unpleasant odor for a non-smoker. But the lady who helped me was very nice.
2. I had to make a 520 mile one-way trip. I purchased the trailer hitch and trailer light adapter/plug from the pick up location and they installed them and hooked up the trailer for me. At that time, I watched while the trailer's tail lights, signal lights and brake lights were checked.
However, after traveling about 400 miles and darkness had set in, I stopped for gas and noticed that the tail lights were not working (the brake lights and signal lights did work). I checked the plug and cable and both seemed secure.
Because I had to make the journey in one day, and since the brake and signal lights worked -- and since the trailer was narrower than my vehicle so my vehicle's tail lights could be seen -- I decided to continue to my destination.
I don't know how this could have been foreseen/prevented, but perhaps better preventive maintenance is in order.
Overall, a good experience with U-Haul. I would rent from the same pickup facility again.
I got a trailer to tow, and received no assistance to hook it up or to make sure I did it correctly.
