I was charged a weekend rate on a Friday. Why are there weekend rates? I used this truck less than 2 hours. Before I do another rental from uhaul I will search for a company who rates are consistent, weekday or weekend. Friday is a weekday.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION! This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with U-Haul. Right from the beginning, we knew it wouldn't be a great experience. The customer service at this location was nonexistent. While we were waiting, the employee was rude to another customer who was just trying to return a rented truck. As we were going over the rental agreement, the employee (I did not get his name) verbally asked me if I wanted SafeMove Insurance, to which I replied "No". We did not physically mark on the contract that we did/did not want the insurance because the employee filled it our himself. After I received the final invoice for our rental, I was shocked to see that not only had this location charged us for 2 dolly's, but they also charged us $15 for the SafeMove insurance, which I clearly objected to. I called the location and was told that they would refund the extra charge for the dolly but refused to refund me for the insurance. I was told "I didn't even have to tell my employee who you were, he said you wanted the insurance and we won't give you any money back." I immediately called U-Haul's corporate office, and a file was created that explained the situation. Luckily, the Regional Manager called me after 2-3 days and informed me that he would be refunding me the previously discussed charges. Although this was a relief, I am still upset that this event even occurred in the first place, as it took a lot of time and stress to retrieve money that should have never been charged to my account. Unfortunately, we only rented from this location because the one on West Gate City (which has the best customer service) was completely booked. I would recommend that any customers looking to rent a U-Haul use a different location.

The Uhual associate was very nice and professional and the truck was fine but I was over charged 10$ after I left the establishment. I chose not to go back to dispute the charges because after reviewing the reviept via email i realized our transaction was finalized upon my verbal consent to allow the associate to do the final walk thru as far as gas and mileage without me because he was In a meeting with another gentleman as I returned the truck. He suggested I go ahead and leave and that he would send me a receipt once he had had a chance to do the walk thru. I had already parked the truck in front of the entrance to his building as he had instructed me to prior to leaving with the truck. In good faith i left the access to my debit card open. Unfortunately I just took the 10$ loss but as a rating it's not because of the customer service nor the quality of the truck but because i blame myself for not insisting I secure my own liabilities before leaving and completing my transaction.
