Excellent experience! No complaints.

The mileage rates were different from those advertised, which made my bill higher than I was expecting.

A cranky, rude, old man who is apparently not computer-literate runs this store. He and his sidekick should not be in a business that deals with the general public (or anyone else, for that matter). He was abusive and would not answer my questions. Also he had a problem with the fact that I placed my order online and not directly through him. Strange.

1 tire was flat on the auto transport. one of the latches on the ramp of the auto transport was not working causing the ramp to come all the way out when pulled out.

These people were so nice and done a great job in helping us get what we needed. I will go back to that location if I ever need to use a uhaul again.

The dealer i picked this up from was rude and not clean, treated me like i was beneath him. Also reserved a 26ft and ended up having to get a 10ft since the fact that your reservation is not "reserved" until 2 days before was not advertised except in the fine print

Asphalt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After I had rented the truck I got a call that there was an emergency in my family and I needed to go to another town ASAP. I tried to call where I rented from and got no answer twice. So I called customer service and they allowed me to drop off the truck where I was as my wife was to pick me up to go where I was needed. After I returned home I got an ugly call from the person I had rented from and told I could never rent a truck from him ever again. He wanted that truck to stay at his lot. Everyone else was Awesome but he was a jerk. Hope the main office deals with that type of attitude. I will never rent from that location again.

I requested for a pick up location in Birmingham, AL. It was bot until after 5 the night before I was supposed to pick up my truck, that I found out that I had to drive over an hr and 1/2 away. I had to reach out to u-haul myself to even get te ball rolling on even getting a truck. If I would not have called them, I would have shown up where I requested to pick up only to find that they did not have a truck for me. I was directed to talk to the 'U-Haul traffic division' in order to find a truck (I HAD A RESERVATION-I SHOULD HAVE A TRUCK BY THIS POINT!) The lady on the other end of the line literally did not care at all. She didn't care about the fact that I had a reservation, I had movers coming the next day, or that I was scheduled to start work two states away and needed the truck to get down there. When I asked why my reservation did not hold a truck for me she said 'a reservation doesn't guarantee me anything, and I may have a truck the day I needed, or it could take 2-3days. The fact that she didn't care about my reservation, or the fact that I was going to be loosing a lot of money (movers & not starting work on time) made me so angry. I live in the largest city in Alabama- how is it that there are NO trucks? I even said I would drive to pick it up, she still said there is nothing I can do. After ~30 min of basically talking to a lady who acted like a 15 year old brat, I hung up. I called back an refused to speak with her again, that's when they directed me to Terry (a guy). Terry was very helpful. He found two trucks for me to get, although both of them where over 1 1/12 hrs away. I needed the truck, so I had to drive to get it...doesn't make since why a U-Haul employee couldn't have done that, but whatever. I guess the meaning to all of this is to say that, in the future, I will try my best to never use U-Haul again. I am also warning future customers about the lack of customer service and professionalism of their staff. If you make a reservation, make sure you call them because if you leave it up to them, you may be walking your belongings to your new house rather than driving them. To U-Hual: find the lady that works for your Traffic Division for Central Alabama and fire her. She makes your company look terrible. I'm not the only one who thinks this. Even the two people I finally picked the truck up from knew exactly who I was talking about-it shouldn't be too hard to find her. If you don't already know who I am talking about, just call in like you are a customer, I'm sure she will treat you like dogsh*t and you'll then know.

I am not happy with the extra charges that were added to my rental. I am yet to know what they r for. All total the extra charges add up to about $40.

Everything was great except where I originally scheduled the pick up. I went a day early to verify the trailer would be there (in Double Springs, AL). I found out the trailer would not be there. The U-Haul rep was on vacation. Why would the system allow me to book this, when he wld not be there or the trailer. I called U-Haul customer Service, Laurie was wonderful to find the next closest town that had the trailer I needed. I had to go an additional 20 miles to pick the trailer up. Need More Storage was Great! Also, once I returned home in FL, We were able to change the drop off location w/out any issues.

be there when the truck is turned in ...

By computer we requested a truck at Hamilton, Al. There wasn't a truck there so we had to drive 25 miles to get one. That dealer had four trucks and five customers. The last person wasn't going to get a truck. If it had been us that would have ruined our plans.

Keep your equipment matenance up to date put checking supspion in the inspectin had trouble with truck wanting to flip over going down the road loaded or empty . I have had a really bad exsperience starting with reserving the uhaul and the drive to my desination and with the paer work never had this much trouble before.

the U-Haul system/process of getting an available trailer/truck is very frustrating, with having to travel to a DIFFERENT U-Haul location than previously arranged for supposedly agreed to by the "1-800" number representative. The folks at both locations were fantastic to work with, also the folks at the 6th Ave., Decatur, AL store was EXTREMELY helpful, I believe his name was Charles.
