my reserved truck wasn't there, and i had to settle for a truck 2 sizes smaller than i reserved. . when i asked the employees at the rental location i was told that u haul screwed up and told them to give me the smaller truck and that there was nothing they could do about it. I called the u haul hotline and was basically told there wasn't nothing to be done about it, too bad, but that i would receive a $50 reservation guarantee compensation. i had to make 2 extra trips because of the smaller truck. check bill, and bank account, nope no $50 taken off. all day move, lost out on a a catered dinner and a rock concert, all because of uhual F*****g me sideways. GF moved 2 days later and hired movers. who had a big enough truck to move everything in 1 trip. 3 hours and done.

Double charged my credit card and waited an hour to leave woth the truck due to the slag of the U-Haul system. Was behind schedule after driving 40 minutes north to pick this truck up. Thrn waiting an hour to leave with it.

Have the available truck at the first pick-up place. The original pick-up was suppose to be in Brookfield. Also there was a place closer on Hwy 59 that was not on the list in Waukesha.

Self-dispatch online was terrible. It took 2 hours of sitting there before we could take the truck. Also, it didn't have either of the 2 moving supplies we ordered.

I was very satisfied. The only thing that bothered me at drop off was being told they would check over the vehicle return the next day and bill me then. As a customer, I prefer to have vehicle looked at immediately to be sure if something does not appear correct at time of drop off that it's addressed immediately. I also want to know what my charge is right away, and get a receipt for my records. I certainly didn't like the idea, I could be charged something extra and not even know about especially not having the option to talk about if any discrepancies. Luckily, when I asked if we could have vehicle inspected right away and for my card to be charged right away, they were able to accommodate. This should be normal procedure though in my opinion. I've rented at other u-haul locations, and it is. I was caught off guard this time around and immediately felt uncomfortable when dropping off. I need to rent another truck within the month. Hoping I'm not told the same thing at drop off.

Get back to values & ethics. Your company is a falter a this point, poor poorly maintained trucks, no customer service, no communication!!!!!!! No values no ethics no pride in your business! Shame on where Uhaul is now compared to the great reason it was started. I'm embarrassed to even say I used UHaul for my move!

Got charged for pads i didnt order and then called the main line to fix the charges and never got a call back. This location couldnt help at all.

I have rented from uhaul three times in the last few months and the last experience I had was not the better of the three. The truck wasn't well cleaned or maintained. When driving the truck passed 50 mph the entire steering column shook and was not fun to drive . When we returned the uhaul and told them about this problem they said it was due to it being winding from the north east. It was not winding that day and as they had the excuse the owner of the location was rude about the complaint with his comment back. I would not recommend the Hartford Wisconsin location to anyone for renting a uhaul. I have to say the two other times rented out of Madison were much better experiences.

Pick up and Drop off locations were great. The only problem I had was with the Main office calling and telling me my drop of location changed to someplace 40 miles away. I said I would take it there, but they would need to cover the mileage for that, they then told me to take it where ever and hung up on me. I was charged an additional day because of this.
