The place was cold and the helper had no idea what was going on. Basically she made me a whole new reservation and cost me 40 extra dollars

Had a bad experience when I arrived at the Highland Mills location called My Town Marketplace. Was told by the staff at that location that even though I had a reservation they weren’t able to help me because they weren’t trained and did not know what to do. I should get a discount on this rental for the extended time I had to wait ( which was over an hour). Poor customer service skills and not knowledgeable about rental procedure.

Van was dropped off mid-afternoon. The drop off was a grocery store and nobody there knew what to do with the van. They finally found someone in the back of the store who told us park the van in the front parking lot and to drop the key in the box.



I didn't have a good or okay experience with U-haul. And will never use U-haul again. I HATE this company!!!

When I arrived the lady had already left for the day when I had an appt for around 4 arrived at 4:15 so she drove back into work then the computer did not work so we did over the phone with corporate. Then the truck was dirty and smelled like gas maybe a landscaping company used. I Swept clean and covered the floor with plastic before loading.



My card was charged twice for no apparent reason as I filled the tank up with fuel upon return of vehicle. i never really get a chance to claim my money



I will not use U Haul again. I had to deliver my truck about 25 miles from my destination (18 for a car). I was disappointed that the three locations in my town could not be used. Then, I was somewhat compensated for the additional mileage and inconvenience. When I called the regional office to explain that I would also be incurring a bridge toll for the location across the Hudson, they said that I should give the receipt to the drop off location. When I pointed out that I would not be charged the toll until my trip back home, they said I had to get the receipt, write a letter, include the receipt, and mail it to you. I found this to be an additional inconvenience, and insult. I also do not feel I was adequately reimbursed for my time, the additional time of the driver picking me up, as well as his gas. Also, why couldn't the $50 promised me for my inconvenience not be applied to my bill at the drop off site?? This drop off experience was inconvenient, annoying, ill-compensated, and the policy your (courteous) representative had to enforce was indefensible, as far as I was concerned.
