Third time using U-Haul over the last three years, and it will certainly be our last. We reserved this van for 12 hours on Friday, May 26, 2017 (10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.). The DAY BEFORE pickup, we received a call from a U-Haul representative saying our rental time will be cut in half, and we could only use the truck until 4 p.m. on Friday. Absolutely no offer of credit or a discount, just a "hey sorry but you need this back on time or else." Then when I went to pick up the truck, the general manger of this store purposefully marked the fuel amount in the truck a whole quarter tank HIGHER on our paperwork than what was actually in the truck's tank. Fortunately I caught this before driving off the lot, but I feel sorry for those customers who has fallen for this manager's tactics. At the end of the day, I returned the truck - and accidentally forgot to bring back the dolly we had rented. My wife, who drove behind me to the U-Haul store, drove back to our old apartment and picked up the dolly to bring it back to the store. As that was happening, a very enthusiastic new employee (the only silver lining of our U-Haul experience) started to check in our truck. But no. Her coworker (did not get his name, he had glasses and facial hair) ran outside, yelled at her "WHERE IS THE DOLLY?" and proceeded to berate her for starting the checkin process without us having the dolly. Two minutes later, my wife showed up with the dolly. We finished our check in, but not before the other employee blurted out "ARE YOU GOING TO PURCHASE FUEL TODAY?" I had to explain to him that the store's general manager marked the fuel tank on our paperwork higher than what was actually in the tank. He said "OK" and moved on to give me my total, and never even gave me a receipt. Please do something about this. Just because U-Haul has a quasi-monopoly on the moving market does not give the company the right or privilege to berate its customers and employees. 1/10 would not recommend.

The guy who received us and did the check out was so rude without reason, charge me a day extra!!! they took me extra time to reverse the payment!!! was uncomfortable

I requested to use the phone to contact the person who was supposed to pick me up from the uhaul after I dropped off the rental van. My cell phone battery was out of power. The person at the desk said that I could not use the phone because then everyone would want to use the phone. That is ridiculous and unacceptable that a paying customer can't borrow the phone for one quick call. I would have been screwed if not for another employee who was nice enough to let me use her personal cell phone. I understand if someone who isn't a customer can't use the phone. But its unacceptable that I wasn't allowed to use it. It just really makes for a poor customer experience. The rental experience was otherwise fine, but overall left be disgruntled.

Patrick was a little standoffish when I arrived at time of opening, but I could understand that I think I just freaked him out rushing up on a bike as he is unlocking the door. Otherwise he is always a nice and hardworking fellow. I've had to use this location a few times in the past year and plan on continuing to do so.

Upon return staff treated me like a criminal. I had the truck for 2 hours an 14 miles and they went through every piece of mechanical equipment trying to find ways to screw me. Highly unprofessional.
