There was a poor attitude of the mechanic in helping to hook up the car transporter to the 20' truck. He didn't want to do it and had to be coerced by the agent. Once I was interacting with him directly, he was nice and cordial. The worst of it was the mechanic said he checked the lights of the car transporter, but the blinkers and brake lights weren't working.

I called and reserved a truck on a Monday and the man said oh yeah it will be ready for Friday. Friday came and he called 20 minutes before I was to pick it up and he told me he didn't have a truck and that I would have to drive 18 miles to get the truck. Huge inconvenience.

This location was ok, but I was not offered any assistance to hook it up to my truck. My bigger problem is with U-Haul renting equipment they dont have. My worst fear came true, I reserved an 'Auto Transport' and it was NOT available at my prefered location so U-Haul told me to pick it up on the other side of the city. When I was half way there I got a call that they did not have my 'Auto Transport'. I had to drive almost 50 miles to get one.

A 26 ft. truck confirmed by UHAUL for 12:30pm on July 8th,2016 via phone.When I arrived at the pick up location Bill Carpenters- the truck was not there. I was never called and informed of this. So I drove over 20 miles to pickup a truck that wasn't there and wasted time when I could have been finishing up my packing! Not to mention the people we had helping us had taken time off from work. I don't blame Bill Carpenter's Service. They could have called me though to let me know there was not a truck.In the meantime Bill Carpenters was on the phone to UHAUL in Rochester,NY talking to them about this deal. It wasn't the 1st time that UHAUL had messed up their trucks that were scheduled to be picked up.I was told by carpenters that they would call me if the truck came back by 4-4:30pm. they closed at 5pm. I then received a call from "Kayleigh" in the Rochester,NY office saying they wanted to know if I still wanted the equipment because they would have to CANCEL my contract! By this time I was totally livid!!! I then spoke to "Amy" to put me on hold for over 5 minutes in the beginning of our conversation. She proceeded to tell me a truck would be there by 4:40pm. About 2:30 pm I received another call from someone stating a truck would be available between 3 and 3:30pm.To verify this I called Carpenter's to confirm before I left. Crystal told me that no, they did NOT receive a call from U-Haul there was a truck available at that time. She said when she heard from U-Haul she would call me back. I then waited- having spent most of my day making calls when I could have and SHOULD have been loading the 26 ft. truck to leave NY the next day. Finally at 4:20 pm I was contacted by Carpenter's that the truck was physically at their location. Mind you that I had 3 people take off work to help me pack wasting their day and time.

There were problems with the computer details for the pickup, but the associate at the pick up location was awesome and very helpful. I felt bad she had problems with the computer, because she was an outstanding agent.

I paid for 2 extra days when I got the truck, but did not need or use them. Having a very hard time getting refund of the $80 for those 2 days.

We called and requested to pick up the u-haul early and were told that wouldn't be an issue- we drove 45 minutes from our home to pick it up and the u-haul website was down and we were unable to pick it up that day so we had to make another trip the following day to pick it up. Thankfully the u-haul website was up and working that day. There should be an alternate way to handle such situations.
