I got a small 10' truck and it made moving so much easier than I had anticipated! If you have a California king bed, I'd recommend a larger truck but everything else fit just fine!

I went to make my reservation online for a 15' truck and before I completed it, I called a local uhaul location to ensure the prices and drop offs were correct. I was told for the special price ($143 not including taxes/insurance/etc) that included mileage, I could drop it off at the location nearest my destination. Instead, when a u haul representative called me friday night to confirm my online reservation, I was told by that representative that this was not possible and I would have to make the round trip to get the special price and mileage at .40 per mile over the allotted 116 miles. When I received my bill this morning, I had been charged incorrectly. Instead of the $143 plus additional mileage, I was charged $1.09 per mile and a 29.95 fee for the truck! At 181.2 miles, this came to just over $245. If I had been charged as I was told by the uhaul representative I spoke to on Friday night, my bill would not have been more than $201 and that is IF I got the insurance. Had I been charged as the local representative informed me and been able to drop off at the location nearest my destination, I would have been well under the allotted mileage. Now, when I received this bill and called uhaul customer service, I was told that the location I had picked the truck up from and dropped it off with had charged me wrong so a claim would be submitted and I MIGHT hear from someone in a few days. I feel as though I was not truly helped at all and from the beginning, there has been price increase after price increase for various reasons and then when I was overcharged STILL, I have to wait days for someone to even contact me about my money because "they have to investigate". I am appalled at the "customer service" and lack of communication with uhaul and their "locations". I will certainly not use them in the future and will recommend that others do not either.
