My truck was suppose to be at Fall River location. When I got there to pick up, they had no truck available. I made these reservations a month prior to my long distance move! They also had no other size truck. I ended up finding a larger truck at the lakevilke location which the operator was very nice. But I used more gas for the move due to having a larger truck. I was overall unhappy with U-Haul in general, but the location in lakevilke was satisfactory

Bill Markson is running a very efficient shop in Lakeville. He seems to be very much on top of things there. He went beyond what most would do to help me work through some electrical issues in order to facilitate a trailer rental. Please Note: Years ago I was an assistant manager at the Medford, OR center - I enjoyed renting from Bill and was very impressed with his facility

Horrible customer service. Not welcoming environment, messy house that it is hosted out of. Tells me my gas gauge was not full enough to I had to be charged an extra 7$. Then tells me if I don't go into the truck to fold furniture pads (That I did not request and were unfolded when I picked up the truck) that I would be charged a 10$ fee. My stepfather went into the truck to fold the pads and after the paperwork I walked outside to find him. He was still in the truck and we hear the uhaul rep. start the truck and start driving it into the facility!!! WHILE HE WAS IN THE BACK STILL! This man did not check and my stepfather could have been seriously injured because of this situation. This man did not even know at all and when my stepfather asked him if he knew he was still in the back all he said was "oh sorry".. Disgusting customer service and would never recommend anyone I know to use UHAUL.

Rented a Uhaul for two days per my original contract, was then informed the day before picking up my rental that the pick up location had changed to a location 15 miles north of where I was supposed to originally pick it up without any addition of milage to my account. Somehow my contract was changed to a one day contract without notice, my signature or my approval. I was on my way to my new location with the truck when I receive a phone call from the Lakeville location demanding to know where I was with the rental as I was over an hour late (I had no idea since my contract was changed without my knowledge). The person who I spoke to was unprofessional, rude, and ended the phone call by hanging up on me. I then called the original store where I rented the truck from to see what happened to be told that they would call me back. Two hours later, I called them to find out what was going on and was told to call customer service. I called customer service twice and was on hold for 15-20 min each time before hanging up to complete my move. I would not recommend ANY Uhaul rentals for my friends, family, and any one else. This was absolutely the WORST experience I have ever had while renting any equipment. The communication between Uhaul, myself, and the locations was abysmal. The only saving grace of this experience was the Bridgewater location who were kind, understanding, and overall friendly.

Agent said we did not return tank full when tank was on full and then charged us for it. Then when we picked up the truck we mentioned there was broken glass in the back and then he charged us for that too. We got tired of arguing and finally just paid it. To top it off we had our reservation until 10 am and the agent called us every 10 min starting at 9 am asking when it would be back bc someone else rented it for 9, despite our return time at 10, we finally brought it back at 930.

1. I was told a truck would be ready for pick up 8/20. High rate. 2. Patched over to presumably corporate. 3. Told I could have the truck for 5 days at $284 + $.40 a mile after first 100, acceptable price difference. 4. Receive call 8/19, truck will be ready for pick up at noon. 5. Drive to pick up location, which was different from where I originally booked. Using 15% of my allowed mileage. 6. Truck is not ready, and no record of it. 7. Drive to another location who has it, wasting 12% of potential mileage, again. 8. Receive three phone calls asking when I'm returning the truck. Thursday 8/24... as agreed upon. 9. I'm already anticipating the extra charges on my credit card. 10. The most disorganized, hassle of a rental I've ever encountered.

It is not the rental location that matters. My horrible experience was with the truck breaking down only 2 1/2 hours into the drive. I was left on the side off the highway for over 2 hours in 84 degree weather with trucks zooming by. The question of the day "do you feel safe? "Would be NO. Called back several times to find out where The tuck was that was supposed to be coming to help. They kept telling us there 15 minutes away. The total time the truck was down for repair was over 5 hours. That put us in rush hour traffic thru new York. By the time we should have arrived at or destination at 2am we were needing a rest. Had to pull over at a truck stop and sleep in the truck for 5 hours. I'm almost 60 years old and handicapped. This was not what I expected and will NOT recommend to anyone to get a uhaul truck. Go anywhere else but uhaul. We were told we could go to a hotel and submit a claim and MAY get reimbursed. We had people set up to off load the tuck but due to delay they could no longer help. The truck has a sticker on the inside for hiring people to help unload so I asked uhaul to hire people to help us. Nope... it will be posted all over social media how inconsiderate uhaul was.

The process for self pickup is ridiculous. It makes no sense to take a selfie and take a pic of your license. Also, the reservation process is awful. When making the reservation on line it needs to be clear that it may not actually be set until confirmed and simply changing the location pickup is not okay when your paying by the mile.

When I dropped off the Uhaul truck they charged me An extra $42.50 for an extra day. I was told that I had the truck for 1 day plus 8 hours and I only had it for 1 day and 7 hours. So in reality, minus the dollies, I paid $ $70 per day for truck only. What a deal. I will never use Uhaul again.
