Truck was not road ready for a 2000+ miles trip. Missing fuse for trailer lights, 3 tread worn tires, dirty box area, trash in cab and the last customer's contract in the glove box. The corporate folks got us fixed up but it made for a tough start to a long trip. Driving 40 miles to pick up the truck at an alternate location was a huge inconvenience in time and gas...the $50 refund of guaranteed reservation doesn't make up for it. BUT....we got to out destination safely....thanks!

When trailer was being hooked up to my truck, I walked around to check the trailer tires as I always do before getting on the road. I noticed that one on the passenger side appeared low. I then asked the worker to please check that particular tires pressure. The pressure did not even register on his gauge, so I knew there was a nail or some other object in tire. He asked me what I wanted to do because he had no other trailer and certainly no spare. At this point it starts to rain so I suggested he fill it with air and get water and soap so we could find the leak. We pulled the small metal object out and tire went flat again. I told him that I had movers waiting for me at our house and I was getting charged for their time. He suggested plugging it and sent me on my way after a 45 min. delay. To further complicate this trip, I was told by the Houston area U-Haul dispatcher (of sort) to pick up trailer in Dayton, Tx. because my usual Kingwood location was out of 6' x 12' ones. I went approx. 8 miles out of my way and had to turn around to actually go pick it up in Liberty, Tx which I had just passed up 15 minutes earlier. This was the second time in a row that i went to the wrong pick up location because of a lack of communication on U-Hauls part. I have no problem switching pickup locations as long as i am told the correct one. The previous time, i was never informed of a switch in pickup locations. I showed up at one and at that point was told to go to a different location for pickup. (Yes, another delay) that was U-Hauls responsibility. I am an avid user of your trailers, but i will not promote your sub-par practices. Lastly, the Liberty location charged us some B.S. $25 Safe Tow Fee and we were Never asked if we wanted this coverage. That is Very unprofessional and will be dealt with in some way. If you all have any questions in regards to this or other experiences with your parent company, please feel free to call me on my phone you have listed. Thanks,

they got the 26 foot truck to their location so I did not have to go elsewhere to pick it up. I was able to change time of pick to a day earlier without any trouble.

Fast friendly service although they didn't have what I needed to rent, They did have it delivered on time for me to use. My only complaint for uhaul is the equipment I rented had expired registration. I would think that a company as large and successful as uhaul would at least make sure all their equipment is road worthy

The vehicle had the holes ion the bumper area for a ramp. I assumed that a ramp was included below the bumper. However, there is NO ramp. Since there was no ramp, I could not load 1 item & will have to rent again soon to take care of this 1 item.
