I reserved a truck & auto transport in South Beach and received a call that they were unavailable a few days before my move. I had to drive a total of 2.5 hours to two different locations in opposite directions to pick up each unit. U-Haul did not make any offerings for this inconvenience but I requested it and what the lady offered was more miles, an additional day, and $50 credit. I never saw the $50 credit. After I realized the location of each unit, I complained about the circumstances to the regional manager in Salem. Her customer service skills were absent and she told me, “you should be grateful that we're even giving you one” [an auto transport] because there weren't any around. She referenced the wildfires (which impacted all of us on the Oregon coast) and she seemed burnt out and in significant need of training and support. I was told by the U-Haul representative to pick the auto transport up by 2pm because that's when they closed for the day. The Lincoln City U-Haul dealer called to admonish me for not picking it up at 9am because apparently he was supposed to be going on vacation. Luckily I had rescheduled my movers for an earlier time to have additional time but then I also cancelled an important appointment so that I arrived at 11:30am, and the man had left. The gas station workers hooked it up for me. Two positives: the Waldport, Oregon U-Haul dealer was professional and courteous, and the Rochester Hills, Michigan U-Haul center ladies were professional, courteous, fast & efficient. U-Haul should keep their websites updated with what is actually available for rent on the Oregon coast, increase communication with and provide logistical support to neighborhood dealers (especially those in areas of/surrounding wildfires), provide mandatory customer service training for neighborhood dealers, and send me a statement showing the $50 credit I was promised.

I was charged for a two day rental up front. I was told the second day's charge would be reversed upon return of my one day rental. Its been three days and still can't get the charge reversed. This is really bad customer service.

Didn't have our truck had to wait around for an hour while they figured out the computer ended up giving us a larger truck that had not been cleaned. They did spray disinfectant all over the cab. The entire time we waited all we heard was it's someone else's fault etc.

Filthy truck and in this day and time of covid19 it's a liability to not clean your equipment. Truck pulls to the left when you break. Chains from the tow dolly drug the whole way.

Make sure they know they have to pay per mile. I got told my total price would be $90 after I returned the truck, and then I got charged another $102 for the 129 miles I drove. when i was promissed it would only be $90 for the whole thing. Dont promise it if you can't deliver. So pissed about this. But the workers at this location that aren't paid by uhaul are amazing and have tried to help me out and get my bill reduced. So thank you Rhonda.

Be more efficient and a tentative and clarify which location you're picking the U-Haul up at upon reservation. Make sure the U-Haul is clean prior of the U-Haul being picked up by guest and make sure that everything is ready to go before the guest arrives. The only easy part about my experience was dropping the U-Haul off.

The value that these people, and Uhaul equipment, bring to the transitions in life (moving) is huge. Tony has been a real pleasure to work with on every occasion over the last several visits as a part of this transition. Moving is stressful enough - these folks really help to make it as easy as possible.

The vehicle smelled terrible even though it said no smoking. Also there was a greasy substance on the floor of the truck that my daughter slipped in while helping me move. It could have caused serious injury.

Although I gave high marks to the location, I would give very low marks to your mobile website. I've rented around 5 or 6 trucks over the past 18 months or so and always used your mobile website. But for some reason, this time around, there was no "Pickup your truck" option. Thankfully, the staff at the gas station were very helpful and able to get everything rectified.
