The store where I rented from was extremely dirty, the truck cab was so dirty, dusty and stains everywhere

their was bums and drug addicts laying on the ground where I was told to drop the equipment. I am a women that had my daughter with me and did not feel safe at all. The man in the store did not help or come out to make sure we stayed safe.
Be more friendly and appear appreciative of your customers.

This store should not be in the uhaul business. I will never ever go back there. I had to connect the trailer on my own (largest trailer and very heavy to lift the tongue, especially since it was on a slight slope and it was in a tight spot on the side of the store between two buildings. Trailer was beat up. One of the cables that assists the door was broken and hanging out so the door was hard to lift. The "dealer" said he "did not want to mess around" and get another trailer and "this would be fine". One of the tail lights was pushed in (I fixed it). It had good tires but they were WAY out of balance and it rattled my 2019 F250. Trailer was not clean either and even the person who helped me load stated to me "Wow this is the dirtiest one he has seen" and he just rented 4 trailers over the last month to move. The store seems to accumulate homeless people and people who just hang around and walk around your vehicle "checking you out" which is a little unnerving. When I brought the trailer back and parked it back in the same spot I got it from, the attendant came out and yelled at me saying "you dumb asses keep parking on the side of the building" and then said something about "I don't even want this trailer. I will not go here again...if I had the authority to make a decision to pull a dealership...I would pull this one. ONLY reason I went here is because your specialist called me and said this is where I had to go even though the dealer closer to me had three of the same trailers. I use U-haul a lot and have in the past been happy with the equipment and the service. This experience I just had gets "two thumbs down".
Overpayed did not receive any paperwork or receipt was billed double fighting now to be reimbursed
Provide better instructions for the return of the rental when returning to a facility outside of business hours. We had no idea that we were supposed to log into uhaul.com and record mileage and gas level prior to dropping keys and contract into the lockbox. Thanksfully, it all worked out, but instructions were not clear ahead of time.
To make sure that the customer is satisfied with the equipment that is being presented. If a trailer is being purchased to make sure it is accessible by getting in and out of the door once loaded onto the trailer. If it is not, there should be no question as to whether or not to exchange it for another trailer. If there is any issue such as this, I believe the customer should be compensated.
Never send them to a place that doesn't care about the customer. Customer needs to have the option to contact upper management if at all necessary. Also, the customer should not have to stand and wait for an employee to make a decision whether or not to exchange a trailer for a reason.
Not only did the owner honor my budget, his team provided excellent customer service to ensure my trip was perfect. They really went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe and knew what I was doing.
The operator was incredibly professional and informed. I was helped along at every possible impasse and treated with the utmost respect!

I Actually dropped off the truck on 8-1-20 at 3pm And went inside . The man behind the tobacco store counter took the key said I was good and told me I could go now. He did no verification or inspection. I did have the proper fuel and there was no damage or dirt in or on the truck. However I felt uneasy that he didn't verify all that. I appreciate the quality of vehicle I rented and I believe in following the guidelines.
The person was so sorry for the way I haul treatment to me
