I have rented many trucks in my life and this was the worst experience I ever had. I will never use U haul again. I picked up on a Saturday afternoon and was then informed that there is no night drop off and they are closed on Sundays. I had to have the truck back first thing on Monday morning because they had another rental. I had to reschedule my whole Monday morning for them. I had to get help on Monday morning that cost me extra money. Then I was charged for roof damage that I didn't commit. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK the roof of the vehicle before you leave. It's not on the check out form you fill out to check the roof. I didn't check the roof and there was roof damage. I was charged over $400 for damage I had nothing to do with. There was a hole in the roof but the only way to see it was to sit inside the cargo area and roll down the door while you were inside. I never thought to check the roof with the roller door down before. Lesson learned. Also buy the insurance.

Was scheduled to drop off uhaul at this location for 24/7 self servcice. When I got there location was closed wit gate locked. No way to return uhaul here. Had to call for assistance. Was again directed to different location that again did not do 24/7 self service.

i needed to return the truck to a Santa Monica location that was open on Sundays. I was told my contract didn't allow that so i had to pay an extra day and it made the return inconvenient. Other than that the gentleman who handled the pick up/return was just fine.

I had called to let uhaul know my hsband was going to be picking up the uhaul and had asked if he would need my credit card. The lady on the phone said no that he would be fine. When my husband got there he was asked for the credit card and I was at work and could not answer so he had to wait around for an hour to get the equipment. I was a little disappointed that this happened since I had asked on the initial phone call.

If the location closes at a certain time, there should not be a drop down indicating we can have for much longer. employees during check in were not exactly helpful or reliable sources. there needs to be a cleaner, more effective check in process for returns if location closes before u-haul is due.

I made a reservation for a van and a car trailer a month in advance and had used express check-in. The day before the pickup I went to the location to talk about loading the trailer and the inspection process. The man at the counter told me that they don't rent trailers and that I would have to get that elsewhere. In the middle of a very difficult move I did not have the capacity to start over again with another U-Haul franchise. So we I decided to leave our car in LA. When I picked up the truck from the location the next day a different man gave me the keys and and sent me on my way. The truck had about 3/4 of a tank of gas and the mirrors were dirty. The man called me an hour later and left a message that said I had to go back and complete the contract and that technically I was now driving a stolen vehicle. A phone call to U-Haul customer service assured me that the contract was good and not to worry. So to some it up, a terrible experience and one I will never repeat again with U-Haul. The truck however performed flawlessly during our 9 hours on the road and I thank you for that

I booked the cargo van online, yet was refused of the order upon arriving the location. The van was released to me after I called U-Haul, yet I was let driving the van away without filling a contract. I intended to extend the van for an extra day, but the record shows that I haven't yet to check out the van. I was promised by someone on the 800 number to receive a call back and instruction to extend the rental. No one called until the morning before I was ready to return it. The person who was in charge of the region/location tried to get my credit card info on the phone to pay for the rental and distance, which frankly this person had no way to verified. I refused, as I have provided my credit card information online and felt uncomfortable to submit such information on phone. I finally received the contract I should have signed before i checked out the van hours after I have returned it. I consider this an uncharacteristic experience in my dealing with U-Haul, but it was messy and unprofessional throughout on the part of U-Haul employee. If I was someone with ill motivation, I could have driven the van away and no one would have enough information to figure this out until way too late.

The owner, George, was very unprofessional and rude when I arrived a few minutes early to pick up my truck. He told me I would have to wait 15 minutes until my originally scheduled pick up time, even though the truck was sitting in the driveway! I had previously advised UHaul I would be early, but George apparently had not received this message. He also did not have any of the items that I had ordered online. If UHaul is going to change the pick up location last minute (I had requested Santa Monica), they should ensure that the service is still comparable. Extremely disappointed with my experience at this location.

The van was dirty, the place was like a dump and in my view the person that works there doesn't deserve to be representing U-Haul. It was a very bad experience all in all. Please do something. The manners (and personal higiene) of the employees talks about the company, and Grevorg Katrdzhyan was far from standard.

I set up a return at 9am on Sunday and I was told the gate would be open for drop off. When I arrived the gate was closed. I was forced to return to my apartment and wait to return the truck, causing additional mileage and gas to be used.
